I guarantee some goober will be sitting on the countertop washing his feet in there by the end of the day.

I'm so happy things are reopening. I'm glad my trip is 2 months away because it would be hard for me to behave safely and rationally right now! Maybe I'll calm down by then, but right now, YAY, glad things are a bit open! Way over-stimulated now lol :woohoo:

I really like all these hand sanitizer and washing stations.....going to eat after gambling has always been a bit sketchy unless you make sure you go find a bathroom. Which isn't always a priority after drinking.

Makes me want to go on my original dates in 2 weeks, lol.

Going to immerse myself in trip reports between working over the next few months.

    Thanks for these, Sonya!

The hand washing station (actual sinks) in the middle of the casino seems somewhat bizarre, to me. I mean, are people so lazy that they won't walk (all the way) to the restroom to wash their hands?

If you don't serve it up on a platter for a lot of people, no, they won't go out of their way. While it may not be aesthetically pleasing, the casinos are trying to make it pretty simple to play by the rules. Of course, there's always a select few assholes who will deliberately not do something out of "principle", but many people who otherwise wouldn't want to queue in a bathroom line will have a few other options to choose from.

Then I'll bet dollars to doughnuts they won't wash their hands in the middle of a casino, either.

The belt barriers at the D gaming tables are too close in. Someone spectating the craps game from the walkway could be closer than the social distancing between players at the craps table.

I wonder...if. you are with "party" (husband & wife) or even with couple of friends...if they will let you seat together wether its a table game or by slots?
(like when I play table game wife usually seat behind me or next to me)

Slots, I think I've seen at least one casino say they will accommodate that if they can. I think the phrase they use is "people traveling together."

For example, you have a bank of 3 machines, you're playing one on the end, the middle machine is off and the seat removed, and the 3rd machine is not being played. They'll probably let you move the seat over from the 3rd machine (and turn the middle machine on if you want, and they'd probably prefer if you played both). I'd expect they'd let you stand behind your wife at the machine as well (or vice versa).

Tables is different. I expect them to keep the empty spots empty. I'd expect them to let you stand behind your wife at a table or vice versa, but that's a little more iffy. What they don't want is one or more unrelated people kibbitzing at the table for any length of time.

Speculation, we'll find out soon, because whatever their stated plans are, they're going to be challenged immediately.

ETA: From MGM's reopening plan document:

Very versatile tool. This video gives some good uses for it. Only problem is when you come upon a round door knob.

It helps keep people from having to congregate in tight bathrooms versus the open space on the floor. Lots more room to breathe out there and I appreciate the additional options even if they’re ugly. Plus it’s a big visual reminder that things aren’t normal.
