Trips to Las Vegas

Second cruise this year in NCL's Breakaway. The last cruise in July took me to Bermuda. This time it's Cape Canaveral and Nassau, Bahamas; there was supposed to be a third port at Stirrup Cay, but Hurricane Matthew intervened, so the island is not open to visitors yet.

Going to try to keep this live with food porn and chip porn galore. Hoping to turn around the debacle in Vegas last weekend.

For those keeping score, this is my sixth visit to the Caribbean so far with one last trip to the Atlantis during Christmas.

Leaving NY

Dinner at Savor, one of several full service restaurants.

Pretty decent fare, and the service is great, as usual.

Mango papaya salad (YUM!)

Flounder (meh)

Shrimp risotto (fantastic, even if a bit salty)

Red snapper (best of the bunch)

Overall a satisfying meal.

First the food porn and now the chip porn.

Much to my surprise, there are two UTH tables. Both $5-$100 tables.

Sat down and dumped $2k in about 45 mins. Couldn't get a roll going to save my life.

Decided to switch it up and play some BJ. Bought in for $2k and cashed out $4250. Up $250 for the trip. Yay!

Then took a walk around the jogging track on the 16th floor before coming back down for session #2.

In for $2k and our for this much in less than 1/2 a shoe

third session was even shorter; maybe about 20 hands. In for $2k out for $2.7k profit.

Smash and grab is back baby!!!!!!

After breakfast, played some UTH and hit a full house and cashed up $350. Then bought in at BJ for $2k. Played $300 at two spots and promptly lost the first three hands; dealer had two BJ and a five card 21. FML ... almost walked with the remaining $200 but stayed and ran it up to $10k+

Because it was relatively early, they couldn't cash me out entirely and asked that I keep $5k on deposit. I didn't mind since I wasn't going to stop playing for the rest of the week [emoji38]

Just curious -

Since you are playing the same casino every time, why do you cash out and then rebuy? Might be easier to just color up and just carry the chips until you want to play again.

You probably have a reason.

Thanks

I like the profit taking so many people get up huge then give it all back

Where's the beer porn

In the end it's a wash, so there's no rhyme or reason; just a way for them to keep track of my Buy in. Sometimes the pit doesn't record every Buy in with a cheque, but they do with cash.

After lunch I played and took $4k in markers but lost it in quick order. There was another player who burned through $7k in quicker fashion than me! Then I switched tables after going for a walk and sat in the HL room, where the max is $2k.

Bought in for $2k and 1.5 shoes later made back what I lost in markers and then some. Cashed out $8700. Manager asked if I would take part of it in cash and the other part on deposit as front money. I said no and that was that. But he said when I played again and if I won then I could only cash out what I bought in for plus that amount. I.e. Buy in for $2k and I win $5k I could cash out only $4k, with the rest on deposit. I'm LOL but he wasn't. If I want to continue to play, I don't think I have a choice. Haha

Yeah-you never want to start a session with chips, you will almost never get proper buy in credited to your account.

The roller coaster continues...

Before dinner (food porn to follow) I think I'm going to a quick hit and run; well that turned into shit bc I lost a quick $5k in about 2 shoes.

Then after dinner I do a pocket dump and only find myself up $5k for the trip. I reload and buy in for $2k and 1-3-2-6 my way into almost $10k

So in 1.25 shoe I'm up $6900.

But wait, there's more... the fuckers would only let me cash out $3k or my initial buyin, so I took $2900 and deposited $7k as front money. SMH

I'm at $13k+ for the trip.

Eat eat eat

Wasabi sushi bar on the 8th floor - pricing is a la carte

Fish was fresh and nicely prepared:

Simple meal and pricing was decent ($50+ incl tip). But remember that this will be a room charge and I hope my play will warrant a backend comp. lol

Regarding comps, you are earning points on your players card which will be credited to your room. I'm not sure that you can get discretionary comps beyond that.
