Ah yes, more dubious rumors from the most self-obsessed feed on X, Vital Vegas.

Stayed in a Classic King once, it was tiny and cluttered. Certainly an upgrade from the standard Park rooms but would imagine the more "upscale" MGM clientele would automatically lean toward Bellagio or Aria. Never seemed to fit the much more downscale Park vibe. IMO they screwed the pooch on the whole Park re-brand, not sure why NoMad should have to take it on the nose for that.

We’ve stayed there three times and have a fourth booked for Feb. we like that it feels quieter and secluded compared to other hotels on the strip. It’s a great location for us to casino hop or restaurant hop.

We’ve only stayed in the grande suite and had to adjust to the separate water closet from the shower.

The main draw is the F/B credit is always better with the mid/lower tier hotels.

Plus we like pool area. Very quiet and relaxing. If that’s your vibe.

    Hopefully this rumor is false.

When NoMad opened, I used to stay there religiously. It was cheaper than Aria or Vdara but with great rooms, excellent service, a nice semi-private pool (ParkMGM guests can’t use it) and good location/food. Also free entrance to On The Record.

But ever since the pandemic, their prices have skyrocketed. It’s the most expensive MGM property outside of Bellagio for me now. I’m a Gold member and my rates at Aria and Vdara are always significantly cheaper year-round than NoMad. I never get comped because I don’t gamble or have a host, but I do get upgrades at Vdara all the time. Nomad they seem to reserve for host comps (a friend of mine who plays a lot gets free rooms there every month). It’s a shame, I liked it a lot. But now that it’s unaffordable, I won’t miss it if it goes away.

I think it could have performed better if at a slightly higher end hotel. You quickly lose the Nomad luster when walking in most parts of the hotel.

There are a few more higher suites, namely the Grande Premier, NoMad Suite, and Royales

Yeah, the post I was responding to already listed the Grand and Nomad suites. I was just stating that there is only one category higher at the property (the Royale suites).

I never understood the dislike for Park MGM after it first opened (reopened?).

It's a shame if indeed true. I liked Nomad a lot as a hotel. It always felt very intimate and has great service.

While I liked the overall style of the suites, I never got the appeal of putting the soaking tub in the middle of the bedroom. Then there's the Park casino, which is just meh.

I think of all the times I’ve gone through Park’s casino, I’ve played in there once. Gave the Golden Knights slot $20 as a good luck charm before the game I attended. Knights (and the house) won.

Soulless would be the word I'd use. Several of the restaurants are great and I love the idea of a nonsmoking gaming floor, but for whatever reason I find the Park MGM to be terribly boring and in my head it exists mostly as a shell to hold the Dolby Live theater.

Different vibes for different people. I love Park, so many reasons. But I think that the things I love are the same things those who dislike it, dislike.

Well, it was very slow, but I think lots have discovered it and that it's smoke free.

I like it. Main issue is bad soundproofing to n base rooms and many of the machines feel tight, and per @MCann analysis they "have deficiencies" compared to some other properties...

I never did a huge sample of holds, but the only time I've ever lost less than 30% of my coin in there are times when I just did a few spins on 1 or 2 slots before and after Bavette's and hit something good, and didnt play any more. What I did analyze mathematically, was the awarding of points and self comps, or lack thereof, under the former MLife program, and determined beyond any reasonable doubt, that both there and Aria, several of their most popular slots were rewarding points at approximately 20% of the same slots at Bellagio and Luxor.

Park has an audience and has found its footing. I think MGM was really smart to take a no smoking gambit. But, does it make enough to justify the refurb costs? That one might be a no. NoMad is an example of their inability to drive high end play and high enough room rates here to justify that cost.

No smoking brings in customers. Families. Families don’t usually gamble…

I haven't seen many families at all in my stays there. Generally, the crowd I have seen at Park has tended to be younger than at other casinos and more low rolling in the casino. I see a lot more families at Aria and Bellagio than Park

I see families there all the time with the strollers. They don’t hang around. I only see the, because I’m outside having a cigarette…LOL.
