I saw it repeated on a vlog I watch.
The original source Is the VV source we all know to be less reliable.

Nonetheless, sharing, in case someone has confirmation from another source.

As a fan of the property, I'd be sad to see it go. They have already cut back Nomad Bar hours significantly

Similar to SLS and NOBU hotel, their elite clientele didn’t follow them to Vegas, they can’t charge enough, and the concept doesn’t really translate.

No insight so just speculating, but if Nomad pulls its brand (or MGM dumps it), I don't see it making any appreciable difference. Those suites on the top floors will still be there, maybe with somewhat different room designs. Nomad Library and Bar will still be there, probably just with a different name. And the "Nomad" casino will still just be the high limit room. It is true that Park and/or Nomad has not pulled in any big players. More than once a dealer has told me I was largest bettor there that weekend (*and I was mostly just betting a purple chip or two). The first time I met a host there, it was a Memorial Day weekend. i was staying at Aria, which was packed. Nomad was not and she was able to give me a tour of all their suites because they had no guests in them. I think MGM knows what it has in Park and is marketing the resort to guests other than high rollers

I love NoMad and would be seriously bummed to have it go away. I even have NoMad rooms booked for July, for kid#2’s 21st.

I agree completely, and would add that as much as the NYC native in me loves the idea of a "NoMad Hotel" in Vegas, the brand just hasn't translated that well. I don't think I've met a single person who knew that NoMad was an existing name. And don't forget that the original NoMad in New York closed permanently during Covid, so the Vegas location doesn't have an anchor anymore. It doesn't make a ton of sense as a standalone brand, and those rooms will do just fine as a sub-hotel.

A cabbie told me that nomad will become the new smoking section of the resort.

I had heard of Nomad in NY, but had never stayed there (and didn't know until now that it has closed). I just thought the suites were interesting and the property had other aspects I really liked. Losing the Nomad brand shouldn't impact any of the things that make me like the property. If anything, it might lead to something new and interesting on those floors. So if the rumor turns out to be true, I am ok with it

Jeez, the LA location closed too. Only Vegas and London remain (for now). That’s a shame; I always loved their aesthetic and I’ve had some truly excellent food and drink there.

I read about this on another site, but I imagine the rumor came from VV there too.

It makes sense... Think about how cheap those NoMad rooms always are, how easy of a comp they are. They're almost never full.

As Travel Fanatic said, the rooms will probably be untouched. There might be a decline in service though.

Ha, and we have to bear in mind that he has a vested interest in proving himself to have been right when he posted in 2018 that NoMad wasn't doing that well.

Anyone been around long enough that they were at Hotel32, atop Monte Carlo?

Hell, I've been around long enough that I remember when they were just the top floors of Monte Carlo, before they wound up on fire.

lol, yes. Hotel 32 wasn't that long ago!

I first stayed at MC in 2005 and it was my home base for a couple years. Forget Hotel 32 and that fire. You really show your age (like me) if you remember when there were fountains and statuary in front of MC!

Or that angry balding guy at the pub who hated everyone who walked into the place. He was basically the predecessor to Whitebeard at Aria Sports Bar. But they did have a McDonald's.

So did I. My boss stayed at the NY NoMad at least once. I would also miss the Vegas NoMad if it closes.

Do you think that particular cabbie is a reliable source of information?
