Hi, I'm sharing a video with you, not because I'm a fan of him, but because I believe it contains important information for those who want to keep their perks. Take the time to listen for the first 4 minutes.

I believe that what the host is telling him is true, we should mobilize to write to CET and make them understand that we will not keep this status if we do not have the advantages that come with it.

Only together can we make a difference.

In any case, I write immediately.

He's a solid Seven Stars CET player (who has been playing a bit more at Cosmo, too), almost entirely (if not 100% exclusively) on VP. Almost entirely single-line, a lot of $5 denom and higher ($25+ total bet per dealt hand), and quite often Diamond in a Day. I give my endorsement (whatever it's worth) to believe the information. I had already planned to likely give any further CET play this year to non-Vegas markets and to possibly not even pursue maintaining base Diamond. Caesars had been top 2 on my priority list in the Vegas valley as recently as early 2020. Since then, I have diversified my bonds to include better-for-me (and better-to-me) options and Caesars is now no higher than #7 on my list.

If our informant is actually lurking among us... thanks for this highly important intel, and thanks for the excellent VP content.

I think writing will prove little in them changing their minds. What will make them change their minds?...seeing the numbers several months after institution of the new policies. If you want to write go ahead, but I think only voting with your feet will affect their decision. There are plenty of other corporations to dance with.

    Hope it's not too cold!

I watch Slotmassacre & had suggested that he post this video on VMB. (His response "I haven’t lurked the message boards in a decade"). I mentioned that there were discussions here about this very subject. I am glad that @BJ1986 posted. Thanks!

I too think it will be hard to "move the needle" as they say. Right now they can cut out lots of stuff and probably still do okay - for awhile. There is a pent up demand from folks that have not hit casinos - especially Vegas - in over a year.

Personally, I have been high Diamond for years and play is dropping and not planning to stay at CET on my upcoming trip. I can get rooms comped just about any time but all the for (weak) FP offers are "sold out" for April/May and June at least. So, mlife will get my play. Will burn down my CET RC's on this trip and will probably blow even getting rooms after that due to impact on ADT.

I agree with you that the best way is to stop giving them more play. This is what I intend to do elsewhere as well.

But it will take time to be considered, I believe that writing to them now is also part of the solution. They will not be able to say that we have not warned them ;)

In the end, it's their business, so they will make the decisions, and they will live with the consequences!

    1. All corporations look at cutting costs every year. Many ideas never make it out of the various conference rooms that a large corporation has.

    2. Almost all casinos are owned by corporations whose stockholders want them to increase profits. If CET was to cut costs or increase revenue at their customers expense, all the other casinos will be following to some degree within a short time period.

@smerrian I agree to some extent that writing may not have much, if any, impact. I am not sure the "contact us" on the website is the best place to write. I like social media posting (twitter, FB) & letters to the CEO (not that they are the ones that read them). What does a full page ad (letter to Caesars/ElDorado CEO) in the LVRJ cost? :soapbox: I wholeheartedly agree with your "only voting with your feet will affect their decision". I have also spoken with a Lake Tahoe host about the changes up there, some changes felt like "nickel & dime" things which concerned me too. She was apologetic & asked if there was anything she could do for me.

If you're talking about the thumbnail of the video, look closer. $1 denom, 14 credits bet. That machine can go up to 25 credits. On such a machine -- which can commonly be found in Nevada in locals markets -- it is possible to play more than 5 coins, but 5 coins or more per hand will pay 4000-for-1 on a (natural) royal.

Why bet 14 coins on that particular game? To prevent paperwork (W-2G) upon hitting anything except for a royal or quad aces.

Someone that attentive and that savvy is someone whose information you might want to trust.

I actually don't care who plays what just cracking jokes!

Side note: in one of my other forums we have an agreed upon "sarcastic" emoji for when cracking jokes so it's known. Does VMB have one?

Agree, just a few Mlife visits and have offers as good as CET.
    Mlife has better room options.
Also none of the BS on CET FP offer only being good only Sunday to Thursday.
Will vote with my feet if they kill the lounges, priority lines etc. Plenty of other places in the sea.

He is mainly talking about the lounges and priority lines. He talked about “comps being cut” in the 2008-9 recession, which is not what I remember. I remember free money being thrown at me to get me there.

I believe CET can get away with closing most lounges permanently, and I can accept that. There were many trips when I never bothered to enter a Laurel lounge back in the good ol days when they were open. I understand that is a deal killer for some players, and they will indeed lose some people over that move.

I also believe the priority queues will be back soon, since that won’t really cost anything. I am NOT a fan of the Diamond/7 Stars combined line. Now that half the world is Diamond it is barely a priority line. If you’re not going to have dedicated 7 Stars lines at Caesars Palace, what’s the point?

This is touchy to say here, but they were going to have to do something. There are now far too many elites since they have made it much easier to get tier credits. It is logistically impossible to give half of your guests VIP treatment.

The guy in the video was complaining about Flamingo, which isn’t set up to give anyone priority treatment anymore. It is set up for people who want the cheapest possible room they can get on the Strip. CET funnels different guests with different expectations to different properties for a reason. CP barely manages to satisfy high expectations these days. The lower tier properties—forget it.

Wondering if this is only for the LV market. In AC all of the Laurel Lounges are open and serving full meals (though only on Fri-Sun). Competing casinos in AC are serving full meals in their lounges every day of the week. I can't see how they could cut it any more and still compete.

I saw the writing on the wall in 2019 and voted with my feet. As I wind down my time in the casinos (2 years remaining), I will be spending more and more time at Wynn, Cosmopolitan, and Venetian/Palazzo. The only play that CET will get is when I go to Tahoe/Reno.

Hey changed their plan or procedures. Go with it or run. Hey, they don’t owe you anything......if you cannot accept that, you’re too involved with a partner exhibiting multiple interests. And it’s breaking your heart.
Relax. It has happened to most of us. Move on.

@DaiLun Forgive my ignorance, but what does 2 years remaining for time in casinos mean?

Regarding the priority lines, it was nice to see them back to normal at Caesars Palace -- one for Seven Stars, one for Diamond, and one for the rest.

Also noticed that the kiosks now allow voucher printouts of the free monthly shows (which is currently still just BODIES at Bally's).

And I was able to use my $10 food voucher at the Halal Guys (which before it was only at the pizza place in the food court).

So hopefully things are slowly getting back to normal. (I seem to be one of the few who prefers the vouchers to the lounges.)
