Its been a few years since I've used the bus system. I'm thinking of taking the 108 from the airport to BTC then the 106 to Main Street station casino. Question--Do they still have free transfers or do I need to purchase the 24 hour pass?

Instead of a transfer, you will want to buy a Two Hour Pass when you get on the 108. A Two Hour Pass costs $3, and you'll need exact change.

If you are alright with walking about four blocks, I recommend taking the WAX from the airport instead of the 108 to the 106. That way, you will not need to transfer (so it'll be a $2 fare as you enter the WAX). Get on the WAX northbound from the airport (it picks up at both terminal 1 and Terminal 3) and get off at 4th @ Carson (directly across from The D). Then, just walk a few blocks down to Main Street Station. I prefer to walk along Ogden Avenue to Main Street rather than fighting the Fremont St canopy crowd. The WAX will get you to your final destination faster than your 108/106 combo too.

We use the WAX each trip. It costs Only a$1 for seniors, and agree walk along Ogden especially if you have bags as Fremont is a mess to traverse with bags. Enjoy yourself.

Ask the bus driver if the WAX stops there. It's been iffy on whether or not the bus will actually stop at Stewart and 4th. But yes, if the driver will stop there, it is a bit closer to MSS than the 4th and Carson stop.
