Pride festival was excellent. Although way North, it packed the park. A couple of pics...

Doesn't really give you a sense of how large it was but really a nice festival. Skipped the food trucks because I plan on Bocho Sushi downtown. Connected to GG comps...
    Chef's sashimi platter, $45, excellent. I'm stuffed.

Bare Naked Ladies was great! And actually a very intimate setting being on the 4th Street stage. IMG_20211009_211722044.jpg IMG_20211009_222621799.jpg
    Loved it!

Good chance I'll have to wus out of my hike of the railroad tunnels tomorrow (not to be confused with the underground flood tunnels of Vegas) as I am just so friggin pooped. So much running outside my awake zone this weekend, but a really good time.

Tomorrow I move to Sam's Town.

Vegasnut, you figured it out. A Crackhouse is a run down house where drug dealers set up to sell and often allow customers to partake.

One thing to remember is that low to mid-level chain hotels are often much worse in Las Vegas than they are in most of the US. For example, Days Inn is an OK cheap motel chain in most of the US, but the one at Wild Wild West is pretty shady.

La Quinta is a pretty good place to stay when driving cross country, but they also have a nice breakfast buffet, often 24 hour coffee and soft drinks in the lobby. They tend to be basic, but clean and consistent. Both Days Inn and La Quinta are part of the same hotel group.

"What do you call that? Throw up Root Beer? Because that's what it tastes like!"

I was dying when he said that. That kid rules. Give him his own show where he reviews things. I'd totally watch.

This, exactly. I've stayed at La Quinta hotels before. All have been perfectly acceptable, clean, decent breakfast buffet. It's specifically THIS La Quinta that is dirty, beat, and just has a feeling of grime to it.

@vegasnut, as for Flamingo rooms, it wasn't so much the pink as it was the pattern of the wallpaper with those neopolitan colors that was so offsetting to me I couldn't concentrate on anything else when I was in a room filled with it. :goofy:

How's the gambling? Good. +$1200 after 13 days of moderate to heavy gambling. Mostly wins at craps, losses at vp. I'm also flush because of a very winning trip in July.

My crack house hotel does not have a safe. I've been walking around for 2 days with $10,000 in my front pocket, sleeping with the wad under the mattress. Today, I get to a real hotel... Sam's Town.

    Oct 10, Sun:

Left downtown. Picked up $83 in cash back from 4Qs (and that's on top of comps). IMG_20211010_130138992.jpg
Picked up $40 in free play from the D and turmed it into $100. Currently +$1500 but it doesn't really matter until you're on the plane.

Sam's Town. The only room I'm paying for, ($40+20 resort fees) and hallelujah it's great to be back at a real hotel (with a safe, a fridge, decent furniture, and coffee! IMG_20211010_143038184.jpg . IMG_20211010_143054276_HDR.jpg

Can you report how quickly the FPDW at Sam's Town give tier credits, if any?

Just caught up! Hope you have a great ending to the trip!

I loved the pride pictures, it looks like it was an awesome event. Same for BNL concert.

Your La Quinta breakfast made me LOL (seriously) so ridiculous

I'm at The Emerald Isle Casino in Henderson for dinner. LVA rated their prime rib special as the best prime rib deal in LV.
Prime rib, vegetable, potato, shrimp scampi appetizer and big slice of chocolate cake...$18.99.
    Salad ('spring mix'... rabbit food)
    IMG_20211010_180650832.jpg
Shrimp scampi served with garlic bread (it was yummy)
    IMG_20211010_180700924_MP.jpg
    Main course
    IMG_20211010_182414668.jpg
    Dessert is cake, flavor varies.

    Thoughts:
Zero ambiance. Silverware rolled in a paper napkin just like Applebee's on a Saturday night.
That was a serious hunk of meat...and it was delicious.
    Lemon cake, fair.
    Glad I came.

Thanks for the view, Sam's Town.
The Atrium at Sam's Town has been redone. It used to be a show of all these cheesey animal-tronics. I hated it. Now, a waterfall with a fountain and laser light show with a great sound track, I found it lovely.

Sam's Town cleaned me out of my winnings. Boo.
Moving to Harrah's for my last 2 nights. Car return tomorrow.

I played $100 through the full pay machines and received 4 tier credits...so, $25/point.
