Flowers I feel like Wynn was way cleaner than every other resort. They are the few that clean rooms daily. Masks have been strongly enforced there and I also applaud the other hotels for also enforcing it. They told me once when I left my mask down for too long after a drink which is okay with me!

I always bring $50 worth of $2 bills every trip :)

I believe cocktail waitresses split tips right? I just want the bartenders to stay employed so that is a good compromise. I appreciate them much.

They are having the time of their lives! Sadly today is their last day. They felt comfortable and safe as well. The drinking hasn’t affected their safety precaution. Their favorite games are moolah and video poker lol they still get nervous losing $20 on a machine even though they can afford it but they are learning to cut loose

Settled in at CP. First time I was rejected for a Palace Studio Suite. I was offered standard Palace room and that seemed like the checkin attendant was doing me a favor. He was at the mercy of his supervisor however so he isn’t at fault. Nice fellow was actually from my area of town. Kept my Octavius room and it will do. Laptop hdmi set up for my partner to watch Beverly Hills Housewives and Property Brothers lol our guilty pleasures. Off to have dinner!

They tend to "tip out" the bartender I thought. But the amount they didn't evenly split. I thought it was more like bartenders got 20% of their tips. But this is fuzzy offhand knowledge. Ive never been in the industry.

From what I’ve seen at Vue Bar the tip to the bartender is based upon how many drinks they serve. I am not sure on the amount per drink but I have seen some pretty large stacks of ones handed over on shift change. I hope the bartenders can survive. It probably hasn’t been a huge boon for them with only half the machines on but I imagine after 3 months off this is just another kick. Let’s hope it doesn’t last too long.

enjoying the report @B T Best of luck the rest of the way.

Thanks for the Wynn info and re: bills, I always bring a stash too. The cocktail waitresses love them. I also use them to tip valets who call cabs, etc.

The average salary for a Las Vegas bartender ranges from $18,588 to $27,673 without tips figured in. However, if you include the amount that can be made in tips, the salary raises to $45,000 to $73,000 or even more.Jan 12, 2020

I think non-service bar bartenders on the Strip generally get more than that before tips. Last trip (Sept. 2019), I was told $19/hr at MGM Grand by one. Those numbers are probably the average for the entire city. But the nicer places you work, the better you will likely get paid.

You are correct ,about 19/20 an hour on strip and downtown is less .It varies downtown by properties .

Ate at Harrah’s Oyster Bar and I have to say they serve some good fresh oysters and cooked oysters. Loved the Oysters Rockefellar, blue point oysters, and the clam chowda! Would come back again using food comps in the future! Next time I will check out Palace Stations Oyster Bar for some cajun food.

Slots were brutal so maybe tomorrow Downtown will treat me better. Few hits at lightning link, saw people next to me hit 5k majors. This happened to me also last month at my local CET lol better luck tomorrow hopefully. Oh almost forgot to mentioned that I embarrassingly jumped up for joy thinking I got the Unicow but to my disappointment it didn’t line up lmao

Note: the strips foot traffic is starting to significantly dwindle down on a Sunday so I am actually looking forward to having the strip and downtown all to myself.

Downtown you could see those who appreciated the bartender’s speed and ability for good mixing when the shift ended and the waitress shared the funds. Some were reported very generous and others very tight. my suggestion was some form of automated tally via receipts from inputting drinks for comps (my thought was 20 cents a drink). A minimal tip could be 1$. Sure some don’t tip (rat bastards) but others tip 2-5 $’s.
lt would standardize a bit expectations from waitress to the bar. And lessen tensions between staff over $’s.
At the Orleans back in the day it was not uncommon to observe (at the craps table) a tray loaded with 10+ drinks being ferried about 4x an hour. Or more. That’s a lot of tips. Potentially. But it’s also a lot of work by the waitstaff as well.

Monday was my parents last day so we had breakfast at their favorite breakfast spot Binion’s Cafe! They had one last go at low rolling at Binion’s and they’re so cute for being on a roller coaster of emotion when they go up $5 to $10 wins lol sent them home shorty after and they made sure to let me know that they had a blast.

Post parents I have continued to get destroyed by high limit slots that I decided to stop, low roll and just enjoy the little free games that come along with it lol low rolling has been way more fun than the high limit days so I am going to continue then give CP one final night of high limit play. Have been slacking on the pictures department.

Been playing lots at the Linq and I enjoy this new feature they have where if you play long enough you can potentially win reward credits. I will post pictures of it below.

Note: I thought the strip was dead during the day but to my dismay it was pretty packed at night.

The second photo dump was from yesterday and the first photo dump was from Monday :) it was very nice to see Las Vegas look semi packed just for the sake of jobs. Not sure if it was mostly locals because I felt it was very slow during the day as you can see some of my day pics.

    @B T Nice report!

I wonder how that movie trivia game gets triggered. How often was it? Hourly? Maybe people with > X TCs in the past ~hour can play? I'd be okay with a chance to win 1000 TC by answering trivia.
