Room with whirlpool tub that isn't terribly expensive?

I think this might do it for me, actually.

I've always scoffed at MGM Signature, in the sense that it isn't a "real" Vegas hotel. But this seems to be pretty good, to be honest.

The only thing that's inclining me towards NYNY is the idea of having a late breakfast at Nine Fine Irishmen after a morning soak in the spa tub. Comparably appealing dining doesn't appear to be in the immediate reach of Signature. Those first 12 hours of my trip, I want to be perfect.

Friends of ours were upgraded for free to one of the"vintage" suites at Bally's that was bigger than their house, maybe 1500 SF. Had a huge tub right in the bedroom and a room the use of which I can only assume is a bridal dressing room. it definitely had a 1980s vibe and reminded me of hotels my travel agent grandmother took me to.

The Signature was always my go to for a staycation. Off strip at Rio or Platinum were good choices too. Rio's are up against the window - where the others are enclosed in the bathroom. All are big enough for two.

Wife and I had NYNY Spa Suite in November. We planned on walking a lot, and according to our Fitbits we averaged 38,000 steps per day. Coming back to the room at the end of the night was glorious as we got the tub nice and hot and just vegged and let our tired muscles relax away.

I would get that room again. If your're looking for strip view, then I think you have to get the Marquis suite as Spa rooms are all facing the arena... but don't quote me on that.

Luxor Pyramid Suites are soaking tubs.

For a decent price, the superior guest room (just one level above basic) at Palms has a jacuzzi tub. And if you’re coming in Sun-Thurs, the LVA’s 50% off up to $50 coupon can make it a very affordable jetted tub option.

They wouldn't allow us to apply the coupon to our reservation last time we stayed. Maybe they have changed their policy recently.

Interesting. I know it can't be applied to any other offer, has to be full rack rate. Could that be the reason?

Current terms on the coupon look the same as each year when I've used it:

"Must be a Boarding Pass member and present club card with voucher. Voucher may be used for a 50% discount (up to a maximum discount of $50). Valid for the following: charges in bars, including Rojo Lounge, Tonic, and The View; hotel-room bill (excludes resort fee and taxes); or charges in the following restaurants: A.Y.C.E. Buffet, Lucky Penny, Café 6, and Social Table, (not valid for food in restaurants not listed here, or in the food court). ONE-TIME USE ONLY. Limit one voucher per person per year. Voucher must be surrendered upon use. Must be 21 years or older to redeem. Not valid in conjunction with any other offer. Voucher is non transferable and not redeemable for cash. Offer may be changed or discontinued at any time at the discretion of management. Management reserves all rights. No cash value. Valid Sunday through Thursday only, no holidays. Offer expires December 29, 2018. Settle to: 86-007."

Newly remodeled Palace Rooms at CP can sometimes be found for a decent price.

@VegasSchemer, very possibly. We had an offer for part of the stay, but I thought the remaining nights were rack rate. They wouldn't let me use it, probably because it was a mixture of rates.

That sounds very lame on their part if you couldn't add to another night. Boo. Good info though. Work checking ahead of time with the hotel if someone wants to use it!
