Hi all. I have a guys trip coming up next month, and booked rooms at GN and also the Cal. As I have a Landry's card I will have to wait until checking in at GN to see if I get an upgrade there, my question is should I try a $20 trick at the Cal for a room upgrade?

Anybody done this? What kind of better room could I expect if so? Does the Cal have different suites (or suites at all)? Should I even bother? I booked one room there, non-smoking double.

    Thanks a million

I suspect they have one level of room, and some suites but with such steady Hawaiian charter business I am guessing the suites are usually spoken for.

I tried a social engineering upgrade last time, not a chance. Haven't tried the $20 yet.
