I would pick the Linq deluxe king. I really like what they have done with the casino and all the pictures of the remodeled rooms have looked nice. I agree with h0und10 the Flamingo ain't no spring chicken.

The Flamingo is a dump. The Linq rooms are newer and the place has better dining & drinking choices.

Huh? That's like saying Bellagio is the old Dunes.

Linq is a far better choice - maybe a slightly smaller room but much more modern and and the whole resort's been renovated top to bottom in the last couple years.

If you just want to improve the view, you could try for a deluxe king with strip view. For more space, ask for a luxury king...still a standard room but a bit bigger than a deluxe king.

If you want to swing for the fences, try for a king suite. It's a true 1 BR suite, small but functional layout. I'm a low level diamond and this is one of the few suites that I can get comped at CET, so it might be worth a shot to see if you can get an upgrade.

Looks like a lot changed in just a few days in regards to a comped room.

Most like a Luxury room or a King Suite is a possible upgrade. Doubtful on a Poolside Cabana room. There really aren't that many room types to upgrade to at Linq.

Cabanas are ridiculously overpriced at Linq for rack. $400+ is not uncommon.

Oh and linq over Flamingo Fab obv. When I stayed in one of those 4.5 years ago when it was ~new, I said, "These will look like shit in 5 years." Well, it's almost 5 years. Lol

Having stayed in both in the last few trips - I'd take Linq by a mile.

But we did just stay in an updated Go Room at Flamingo and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. But the regular rooms are bad.
