Hey all, starting this thread 850 miles into our 1,000 mile road trip from our home on the Oregon coast to Vegas. GF started a new job, we love Vegas, and we love road trips, so here we are. We hit the road yesterday at 5:00 after work, driving through central Oregon to Winnemucca then down. GF was up early yesterday so she took the first sleep shift until 3:00 am, and I just woke up from my few hours of slumber (I swear, the first and only windy road on this trip happened right when I was trying to sleep). The "Federal Forests" here have, uh, a few less trees than Oregon.... For years I've only stayed at Caesars properties, but we have a few friends who like to stay downtown so we thought we'd try El Cortez for a couple days (I'd given them enough play last trip for a couple nights comped), then over to Caesars, where, oddly enough, I've never stayed (I'm usually at Harrahs or Planet Hollywood; creature of habit). I'm an equal opportunity gambler: craps, BJ, roulette, VP, slots, and too often, drunk three card. I'll try to update when I can, probably pic heavy, and happy to try to answer any questions anyone has about Covid-Vegas.
