Just went to check out the diamond drink thing at Linq. It's gone as of last week, according to bartender, which is probably right as it was still active right before Christmas. No more Cromwell or Linq which sucks because I personally liked sitting out there with the general casino crowd rather than with all the lounge gamblers.

What was "the Diamond drink thing" at the Linq & Cromwell? I guess I will not miss it, since I never knew about it o_O

Diamond and 7s players can go to the diamond lounge for drinks. Since the linq and Cromwell don't have lounges, they provided free drinks to diamond/7s players at certain bars at limited times each day. Now that benefit is gone.

Never made it to the Linq for Diamond drinks but I wasn't impressed with the Happy Hour at the Cromwell last March. There was only certain handcrafted cocktails that you could choose from and I wasn't impressed with any that we tried.

Never tried the one at Cromwell, did they not comp beer, wine, and mid tier booze? What's not to be impressed with, it's free drinks without gambling.

Cromwell let me comp the specialized drinks, I just couldn't ask for them by name...it was weird, but I didn't complain.

I always enjoyed playing 60 cent spins of Texas Tea on the VP machines at TAG inside the LINQ...pretty sure thats no more though since the new comped drink rules were put into place

I guess it's what my friend said about Linq, he liked the selection better at lounges.

They had a special drink menu you could pick from and a couple of choices of draft beer. Between the wife and I we tried most of the specialty drinks and were not impressed.

My reason for going to the DL is to get away from the machines. If I where at a bar, I'd play so I'd get the free drink anyway.

Well i would agree that's not very impressive! Far less selection than a typical diamond lounge.
