Written this morn when the site was kind-of going

As I begin to type, Luther Vandross comes on the itunes shuffle. This man has the voice of an angel....and, now that he's passed on, he can sing amongst them on the big stage in the clouds (if you believe in that sort of stuff).

Yesterday was wonderful fun even though I got my ass kicked in pretty much everything I tried. I couldn't do diddly-poo in the sports world with only the Brewers/White Sox O 8.5 and Nats-Braves U 8 came through.

After Dino's...I took a walk to the Strat. Not as long as last Summer's jaunt, but it only took me a block from this vantage point to encounter some fun.

    Strat.jpg

There was an older Middle Eastern gentlemen dressed rather sharp and fiddling with a suitcase. He randomly tells me that, for the very first time, he was extremely proud of our President over in the Rose Garden with his announcement that the N Korea meeting is taking place. He then proceeds to tell me that he had some tough encounters with some racist cops down the street at the Travel Lodge,, where he was kicked out from.

He called cops because there were numerous heroin deals going down at the hotel. He's from Afghanistan and he knows his heroin because this is where it all comes from (his words, not mine). Metro is involved and being paid off by the drug lords, so a black cop called him a 'sand n' and then he says, 'No, you're the n.' I could buy the story, but then he said a prostitute walked right up to the cop, pulled up her skirt and asked if he wanted to 'poke this p_ssy.' I just wanted to go drink.

    What a hoot.

Once I got to the Strat, the hooting came to an abrupt end for me, however. I make it up to the Level 107 Lounge and find that their amazing Happy Hour is really no more. The appetizers are still half off, but every drink on their menu is no longer 2 for 1. The only thing half off is a shitty well drink, which got my blood boilin'. If I could have ended it all by jumping through the panes of glass below at the Top of the World restaurant there, I woulda. It was very depressing. I had a Manhattan that was about $40, lollipop wings and some tuna fish stuffed in a tiny sugar cone.

Went back to Wynn to get dressed before I headed down to Mandalay for some action-packed WNBA basketball!! The fans were going apeshit throughout as the Mystics played like a bunch of bitches. It was almost as disgusting as the news out of The Stratosphere just a few hours earlier.
    Encore2.jpg
    Encore.jpg
    Aces.jpg
    Aces1.jpg
The game was nearly unwatchable, but that had nothing to do with the talent/ability of the players. There were so many ticky-tack whistles blown that I would venture to guesstimate there was a call made on every other possession. That's not enjoyable basketball, folks.

Adding insult to injury, a 16 ounce Heineken was $11.50.

Bill Laimbeer wearing the longest jacket I've ever seen (JCPenney) and looking completely disinterested the entire game.
    Aces3.jpg
Ooo! My nemesis machine at Mandalay. This $5 bastard. I finally beat it (in minimal fashion). I was up a couple hundred with a few nice hits, but pissed a hundie of that back, so I cashed out for $115 more than the $150 I inserted and flipped the sucka off.
    Slot.jpg
I was drunk (a shock to anybody reading this). So I figured I should just take an Uber to Chinatown. It seemed like a good idea.

Went to a bar called Sagos. There isn't a window in this place and I think I missed their late night Happy Hour by being in there an hour too soon (this was around Midnight). I think their well drinks are $2 during the Happy Hour, but that's not a shabby price to pay for two Titos n'soda's.
    Sagos.jpg
    Sagos2.jpg
I walked east on Spring Mountain around 1 and chose Door #1.
    Jade1.jpg
    Jade2.jpg
I loved that everything was lined with bath towels from the Red Roof Inn, but it was an enjoyable forty five minutes as I was convinced I had myalgia of the neck, shoulders, back, and nether regions from all of the walking around.
    Jade3.jpg
    Jade4.jpg
Went back to the Wynn and donated to a Pai Gow table to the tune of a couple hundo. It was an appropriate ending to a rather disappointing day in the wagering department (-$700/$800 overall).

Just got off the horn with one of my Canuck Directors. We went over the coverage of a VERY important chocolate covered pretzel job. @Sonya, please change my screen name to BigTime, please.

And from the AM before leaving the Wynn...

Checking out of the Wynn and into the Bellagio on this day.

Before I go and do something like that, I'm picking up my bestest buddy and big toe at McCarran Airport. It's going to be early, so we're going to head down to the Boulder Highway and hit up the Longhorn Casino.

They have some promo where, if you cash a paycheck with them, they give you some free play voucher and enter your name into a raffle where you can double the dollar amount of the check you cashed. I have no idea what percentage of the check they keep or if I need to be present at this raffle to collect, but I brought a really small check with me to see what they say.

I'm sure I'll never step foot in there again, but I'm looking forward to finding out how it compares to The Joker's Wild...which frightened me back in January.

Didn't end up cashing it out. They take zero percentage for cashing the check, but you need to be present to win the raffle (which I would have) and that takes place on Fridays only.

My last pic from the Wynn....the reflection on the Encore was f-ing with me this morning (if you can zoom into it).
    WinddowView.jpg
That was at about 10 AM SAT 6/5. Probably won't update until MON, now.

    Peace.

I should just include this art study I made from the drivers seat of the Audi just outside of Passenger Pick-Up at McCarran...waiting for dumb ass to deplane.

You should always pack Tommy Wiseau shorts, if you have the room.

Seems the site was out of order for a good day +, so I gave up on this trip report.

This pretty much sums the entire stay up (Moron #2)
    1.jpg
Moron #1 left a credit card at the Rum Runners / Packers Bar we stopped by on WED and so he asked if I'd go pick it up for him instead of just canceling the thing and ordering a new one. Moron #2 & I went to retrieve, bought a 32 ounce Pabst, shot the shit with the bartender, and he ran back to get me a koozie (my first big win in about 24 hours).
    2.jpg
    3.jpg
    9.jpg
Down at the Longhorn we ate at the Chuck Wagon and I bought a pound hamburger because I'm not afraid of death.
    Allahu-Akbar!! Hamburglar-Akbar! Allahu-Hamburglar!
This thing was the size of Mayor McCheese's head (from the McDonaldsland character action-figure set).
    12.jpg
Gave the good ol' boy down on his luck on the stairs here a pat on the fanny and told him to keep that head up. Life'll get better, partner.
    11.jpg
On Saturday, I have no idea why, but I ordered a grasshopper over at Cosmo....and I've had at least ten since.
    4.jpg
Saturday was pretty ugly overall on the gambling front, but this made me a feel a little better Sunday early afternoon. I needed one.
    5.jpg
In my 180+ times here, it has never happened to me where a prostitute wanted to go gamble with me (and Moron #2). I bought her a cigar and some tequila at The Cromwell, but she hung out with us for a couple of hours. Maybe she finally realized she wasn't coming up to the pent (for a cost, anyway)...she was cool. I missed out based on her note on the back of her business card', apparently.
    9.jpg
    10.jpg
A painter outside my window smoking a cigarette this morning as I worked.
    6.jpg
Have to get up at 5 to work on a job shooting over in Barcelona (that 9 hour difference really sucks). I was going to hit up the Palomino again today, but my body can't take it anymore. I never did get to go out with my young maiden again (two trips in a row). This just might not be meant to be. I'm just a tourist in this town and she's a bright shooting star.

Watched the Golden Knights get their asses kicked at my brothers house and then I drove back to the Bellagio, ordered some room service, got stoned, and have been staring at The Aquarium Channel for the last hour.
    7.jpg
Doubtful I'll update tomorrow with work, rental return, Delano check in, more work...yadda-yadda. But I may get a second wind and try to make some magic happen before my flight leaves at 10.

    Thanks for following along, here.

Please recap at the end if you don't get around to updating tomorrow.

We noticed the aquarium channel at Mirage too. Might be cooler when stoned. Lol

Worked from 5 AM - 11 AM (checkout) and returned the rental.

Drove by the new construction site on the way to the Delano.

Able to check in at Noon and worked from 12 - 4:30. Then took pics of the room (Scenic Suite).

In the living room, the 'scenic view' is rather depressing when you look across LV Boulevard.
    8.jpg
The only remotely interesting thing that happened today was that, upon checking in and walking the room, I realized that all three rooms I had this week were the last ones down the hallways. Isn't that f-ing fascinating?
I didn't get a picture in the Wynn (it curves, you see).

I bet this guy (should have done 1st five Innings considering the Arson Squad out there in the Cleveland Bullpen could be a determining factor).
