    My Trip Report

    Folks,

It's been 112 days since I last set foot on Clark County soil. That's longer than the first trimester of a young, blossoming mother-to-be. It's twenty days longer than Lauryn Hill spent in prison for tax evasion. It equals the same amount of weeks (sixteen) as the BEAUTIFUL 'One Sweet Day' sat atop the Billboard Charts (the Mariah Carey/Boyz II Men track back in the mid 1990's).

it's quite a long time, you see?

Let's not play any reindeer games and get straight to the gist of this outing, shall we?

Flying out at 0600. Splurged and went First Class from ORD to LAS. The only negative is that I should take advantage of the perks (free liquor, complimentary Marie Calendar-like frozen entree & warm towelette). I normally don't drink until I'm actually in Nevada, but I'll limit myself to three on the jet plane as I've allotted myself up to twenty-two combined for the day.

I might buy in for a total of $1200 annually at the Wynn (casino gaming), but they sent me a very respectable offer back in FEB and I'm going to take them up on it. Stay three nights (get one free & discounted rates on the other two) / $100 resort credit. I don't really understand why they sent me any offer as the amount I invest on their floor is like a fart in the wind to them, but I definitely appreciate that they notice me and it's a resort I've never stayed in before.

Double booked a room down at Los Cortez on THU. As I usually stay there for the first two-three nights of a given trip, I designated this day as the one I'll hang downtown...give them some love. The room is comped and they gave me a whoppin' $25 food credit, so I'll use the space to bathe, smoke some reefer, stash the reefer, use the safe, and eat at Siegel's in the wee hours of the morn. The calculations (*) inform me that the food credit outweighs the minimal resort fee and I think I come out a $5/$6 winner in this deal.

    * With these complicated mathematics scenarios, I often remind myself of the lead character in one of my favorite movies of all time, D.A.R.Y.L. (Data Analyzing Robot Youth Lifeform).

Move to a Penthouse over at the Bellagio from SAT - TUE. I haven't stayed at this property since March Madness 2007 and I have no idea where the elevators are.

I desert the desert on a red eye flight back east on TUE Night, but booked a comped room over at Delano just in case I want the space (I will). $50 resort credit.

I'm packed and won't wear any undergarment unless it's associated with a Tommy (I am bringing more than three pair...as far as you know).

I'm not sure anybody will get that attempt at humor, but we can't always hit home runs, people. Sometimes you have to foul off a few pitches before you hit one 430 feet.

Not entirely sure how consistent the updates will be Days 1 & 2 as the old roommate from Santa Monica decided he was going to drive up. I got him a room over at The Mirage, so I'll have to check him in and have him sign the agreement that he will not set fire to anything within the property. Best friend fly's in on Saturday and it's (almost) always a hoot.

If my storyboard comes true, anticipate my transformation into a driveling, cross-eyed, pre-pubescent, tween girl over the next six days...which could be fun.

    XO

Awesome. There is no Trip Report like a Trip Report with a promise of ribaldry, captured right in the title.

Oh? You said something else? My mistake.

Up at 4 and waited in the dark for my ride to the local airport. The bumps in the night were giving me an awful fright, but the world's happiest Uber driver (Douglas) turned down my street in a scene straight out of a Wes Craven feature.

Got to the airport and TSA searched my belongings. I then boarded the spooky airplane!

The pilot(s) turned the power on and drove it really fast down this long stretch of asphalt. A neighboring patron informed me it is referred to as a "runway".

    We rose.

    We dropped.

I walked to the United Club in Terminal 1 @ O'Hare International, making a quick stop into the urination room, where a collective something was happening behind me.

I don't know if these men meant to do what they did in unison, but it was highly disturbing. I haven't encountered or heard anything like it since every morning I go into a casino restroom in Las Vegas. There is a distinct sound...and I hope you lady types out there are a little more classy than these complete animals.

Spent two hours finishing off a VERY important University of Phoenix commercial job. The instructor at a traditional college (below) turns down the mother-student, you see. She was late to class for the test and he locked the door. No exam for you, Madam! John Sperling & The Crew over at University of Phoenix don't play those games.
