Just came back from Laughlin. Had a RF holding one Ace. Then two nights later, holding one Ace and got three more and a kicker. I'll never hold another face card of a different suit with an Ace again :)

You're not supposed to hold any non suited faces with an ace.

Correct, unless you have AKQJ mixed suits

This obviously depends on the game, but it's correct for DDB and TDB, which are the most popular "kicker" games. It's not correct for JoB, Bonus, and Double Bonus, which are all non-kicker games.

With the AKQJ exception Tim noted as well as AXXT. I personally consider those straight draws rather than high card holds but technically they are ace holds with no-suited high cards.

@vetsen beat me to it. Lol

Nice pulls! Haven't done either yet. :( Pulled 4 Aces a couple of times though.

I've held a solo ace and drawn 4 babies for baby quads with a kicker a couple times. That's a fun surprise.

I agree with @vetsen, it depends on the game being played. From my experience playing Super Double Double Bonus Poker, I don't just hold the Ace, if any J,Q,K is dealt with the Ace... It all comes down to the kicker and payouts.

If I have an Ace and another face card of the same suit, I'll hold both. For the record to all of you who are weighing in, thank you. But I was really just sharing my happiness at having such good luck with Aces this trip, not trying to start a debate :)
