I might have missed something, but why do people seem skeptical about this resort actually being completed?

    Fontainebleu, Echelon, Alon, etc.

I'll believe it when it's been open for a year or so.

They're reworking their blue prints since the originals included tube tvs and vcrs. Theyre trying to find out what to do with the new found space.

I'll be at TI for five days starting tomorrow. I'll definitely take some pics and post them here and in my TR.

From 27th floor of TI. I'll try to get some ground level shots in a day or two.

Regrettably, I didn't get any ground level shots. However, I was at the TI for four days and I did not see any activity of any kind. The pic in the post was taken on a Sunday and the construction site looked exactly the same each day through Thursday morning. Very few, if any workers on site.

Does this thing have a pulse? Last message from Mike O end of July saw no activity. Is anything happening at all there?

I think I'm joining the doubters.

At this rate ParkMGM will be in need of another renovation before this place finishes.

If you ask me the powers that be have absolutely wrecked the North strip. It's actually a little depressing now.

RW would be a welcome addition but as far as I'm concerned the strip (Mandalay to Wynn) offers enough to satisfy my LV experience. As much as I would love to see RW, there's 26 reasons why I don't care.

    1. Aria
    2. Bally's
    3. Bellagio
    4. Caesars Palace
    5. Casino Royale
    6. Cosmopolitan

    11. Harrah's
    12. Linq
    13. Luxor
    14. Mandalay Bay
    15. MGM Grand
    16. Mirage

    21. Planet Hollywood
    22. Treasure Island
    23. Tropicana
    24. Venetian
    25. Wynn
    26. Ellis Island (walking distance to strip, close enough for government work)

I only saw some symbolic activities on site.
It basically shows that the owner has not abandoned the project.
Other than that I don't think it has any real progress.

Well, the owners of Resorts World appear to be smarter than Boyd.
They don't put the real money in until they really sure they are going to finish the thing.
That's why there's no progress so far.

Maybe anything north of Encore should be called the Old North Strip.

That was my favorite part, especially Circus Circus to Frontier. Was so hopeful that Lucky Dragon would spark something, but that disappointment has been discussed in other threads. Sadly I think it's a matter of saturation, too, as evidenced by the following poster. Even if Old North Strip is redeveloped it won't be the tradition laden area we jones for.

I'd add Hooters to that list. Was in there last month and not a bad little casino.

I think that they will start on this project so that it opens around the same time as Fountainbleau opens.

Bad time to start building again.
Most of the construction workers will be hired to build the new NFL stadium. Demand and costs will be higher.

I would gladly not go into more than half of your list (I pretty much don't already) for the chance to gamble and stroll through a brand new Mega Resort like Resorts World is supposed to be.

My bolded above are what I would consider inferior to the project that RW should shape up to be, Making it one of the top 10 nicest, largest and most luxurious Resort Casinos on the the famed strip.

So it really isnt a matter of having options. If you dont need to see RW since you have Ellis Island to fill your time, I understand. But I like big, shiny, new and themed resorts, So I'm pulling for it!
