Resort fees at CET hotels set to increase

    Most resorts/big hotels have a fee of many names and many taxes for one thing or another. All this stuff that Vegas is doing has been going on for a long time everywhere else. If anything, Vegas has been slow to do it imo of course.

    And this right here is my issue with these fees. I get it - if you are paying for your room you can just add the room rate and fees together to get your total cost. But if the hotel is going to offer me a "free" room, it should be free. Having to pay $100 for a 3 night stay is not a comp in my book. /rant over.

    Harrah's gave me 4 free nights last June. I did however have to pay the Resort Fee so the 4 nights actually cost $28 per night. I was going to stay at the Rio next month but the electrical issues they had caused me to cancel and stay elsewhere. Maybe Caesar's should put the Resort Fee towards maintaining there properties. Don't think I will be staying at one of their hotels anytime soon.
