    My Trip Report

So I originally planned a trip to Vegas for Superbowl like I have done for the past 3 years not even thinking about it. All I can say is, oops!! A couple months before the trip I realize it is my girlfriend's birthday the same day...she is not please because she does not like Vegas at all. So I switch it up for Tahoe (driving from Bay Area instead of flying) for 3 nights at Harrah's comped and tell her we can snowboard or one or two of the days.

So a week and a half before we are departing, I hurt my foot at the gym running. Basically at the end of my work out I hit a speed of 8 (6 minute mile I think) right from the start and rip some of the tendons in my foot... It didn't hurt at the time, but the next day I could barely walk, and for a few days after that it was waking me up at night. 1st bad sign, but I was hoping it would get better by the time our trip came around.

The night before we are supposed to leave, I am getting everything set and decide to go vacuum the inside of my car, go to Target for a cooler, and do some other errands. After I finish vacuuming out the car, I get back in and try to turn it on...click click click...shit... My battery is dead. We sit there for a little while hoping it would recharge itself or something, I am not a car guy, but get the same result...click click click. I have had the car for 9 years and no battery change and of course it has to happen now, but I call a buddy nearby and get a jump and drive to Target where I get one of those portable jumpers. Luckily I didn't need to use it the whole trip, my main problem is that my commute to work is about 3 minutes each way so the car barely warms up, much less charges the battery.

Drive the next morning goes smooth, we get there Superbowl Sunday around 1pm and I place my bets:

Sadly, I bet big on Carolina thinking Cam and Norman would kill Denver left and right like the Seahawks were able too...I was wrong.

The only bet I am furious about not winning is $20 that Brown from CAR would make the first touch down. If anyone saw the play where he was about to make it and the egregious face mask from Denver D, you know what I am talking about. Down right cheating by Denver (sorry Denver fans, but he made that touch down if your D didnt intentionally face mask).

After losing most of my bets it was down to the casino for action. All the pics below are from the proceeding 3 days. There were no big wins and I went home a loser, but had a good time. I did not snow board because of my foot but let the GF know we can go again if there is more snow.

It seemed like DSTP hated me, I got a ton (WAY above average) of multipliers, but if I ever got more than 5, I got nothing in the hand. Literally nothing.

Lot of royal teases too! Lot of 3 to a royal, I think maybe 1 hand that was 4 to a royal.

As for slots we went up and down the second day, but went down down down the third. She had one decent hit on Tarzan for $150 and one bonus round on a USpin wheel game for $65. All in all, they love my money...

We ate at the Oyster Bar in Hard Rock (Just like the one at Palace Station) and it was amazing! I can't eat tomato, but I still tried the Pan Roast of mixed Seafood my girlfriend got.

The best part of the trip was we watched the Superbowl at a restaurant called Lucky Beaver right next to Harrahs which was a cool spot. Since it was my GF''s birthday I asked for a candle for her dessert, which they didnt have!! So instead, I enlisted the help of the super loud table of about 12 guys right next to us. One of them was wearing a Chargers hat (I was in the jersey) so I asked him if he had a lighter and if he could convince his friends to sing happy birthday. They were all in! So the full bar/restaurant erupted in everyone yelling a drunken happy birthday to my GF right at the end of the 2nd half while I held the lighter above her cake, it was the highlight of the trip!!

Hope you enjoyed! Sorry I didn't have more pictures, just not a good gambling trip.

    Glad you enjoyed your trip.

That play was far from "cheating". A facemask to save a touchdown (and being cognizant of the associated penalties) is a strategy play, nothing else. There's a consequence for facemask infractions. If the penalty for committing the facemask is less severe than allowing the touchdown, the correct play is obvious. You are obviously being swayed by the outcome of your bet, but to call it cheating is an overstatement.

I see your point on the trade-off scenario. I remember when the niners made a come back a few years back during the sb and discussion of a play where a sideline player would run onto the field and interfere with a play should the opposing team have a chance for a kickoff return.

I'm both cases, the fine given to the player will have to suffice to try to remedy the penalty further. It was a brutal play regardless of my bet and irresponsible of another player to commit with implications of severe injury.

On another note! I forgot to mention I hit a straight flush 9-king on the Flush game. My $15 bet was rewarded with a $700 payout! Was one of my highlights I forgot to mention and didn't snap out of my shock quick enough to take a picture :(
