Are you guys married? Sorry, I haven't been reading past threads so not sure what kind of relationship you both have. Is this a date? Or just 2 friends getting together?

For sure you don't go to red lobster to woo a female, may as well go to mcd's for the "mood" lighting, lol. I like mcd's French fries but I'm not going to take my date to mcd's.

The girl made it clear what she thinks and how she feels about the place

Of course you can go by yourself EastCoast, then you don't have to worry about what your guest or anyone else thinks.

As for commercials, anyone can make anything look awesome so I don't bother with them.

Might be able to top that... I had a first date that ended up at a strip club

    She's a doctor now.

I assure you, this is satire. We will probably go, but it will be as a joke, just like she thinks I’m playing that god awful Reel Rainbows slot machine again, where there are perfectly good craps tables right there. ;)

Sadly, I might be able to top it. I used to date a woman who I first met a strip club. Oddly, she was on a first date with some other guy who brought her there and I was the designated driver for a group of friends celebrating a birthday. Never really understood why she was put off by her date taking her there, but at the same time seemed perfectly comfortable meeting a complete stranger there and calling me the next day, lol

    Okay, to clarify:

We have become BFF's this past year but I will say that @EastCoastVegasFan! is pretty dang cute and a gentleman to boot, so there's that.

He took me to Gordon Ramsey's, Sadelle's, Primrose and Ra Sushi on my last trip. He bought me drinks at Cosmo and Wynn (good ones! Not the cheap stuff!), Ubered me around everywhere so I didn't have to hurt my pretty little feet walking around in high heels and he even made sure that my first time playing craps was a classy and magical memory (even if I did chuck the dice at an innocent players neck). :p

This post was ALL in good fun, because my boy does love him some cheddar biscuits and 30 shrimp for $10.99. We may or may not wind up there in June. Depends on how badly he wants to go by then, BUT, in truth I would gladly go if he really wanted to because he treated me amazingly and he deserves some seafood with a grateful woman by his side who is not a miserable cow and just wants to see him happy...and tucking into a serious spread of mediocre seafood. ;):D

Whatever we do, we have a great time and laugh til our sides hurt, so it doesn't really matter in the end. :)

No one should eat at Red Lobster unless their Create-Your-Own-Platter includes at least one hostess dipped in scampi butter!

Kakha and I from upcoming Vegas report, as well as Alexanbo and I, have had a few quality drinking sessions in the 5 Times Square Lob. Best of all its stocked with something ALMOST as good as Red Lobster hostesses---E&Y First Year Staffers from their office upstairs!

It's probably better than the Olive Garden. When Borat and I used to work at Red Lobster we would take the hostesses on dates to the Olive Garden on the other side of the mall. This was as classy as it got in Lincoln, Nebraska.

I was working at Red Lobster during this commercial. I have a pic of that damn tie get up somewhere, but those rosettes the girls had to wear were beyond atrocious. That 30-shrimp was $8.99 a few years earlier, and the fried shrimp were the larger flat shrimp originally before they changed to the smaller rounds pictured in that ad. The sad thing is almost 35 years later I still remember the computer codes for the meals: 2936 Shrimp Feast, 2421 Admiral's Feast. 508 was meant to be "on the side" but we recast it as "while you're down there". This job was the absolute definition of sexual harrassment, highly encouraged, and always welcomed. Pretty sure we could sue the makers of the movie "Waiting" for stealing our story. :)

Too tired to read all of the comments tonight. Some will roll their eyes at me because I love Red Lobster. My husband doesn’t like anything from there except salmon & biscuits. So we don’t go there. So for me an invitation to RL would be fantastic!!! If there were one close to my hotel I would jump at going there.

I actually did go to Bahama Breeze on DD’s 21st birthday trip (part of the same restaurant family).

Here ya go, saved this pic from a cooking group that bitched everything should be made from scratch. It was not in my house reply lol. I actually made these boxed gems and were even yummier than at Red Lobster. (Extra cheese, yes please! Mm Mm Mm) Added a bite pic to show the flakey goodness. mm.jpg

True story, I once took a Red Lobster waitress to Hooters on the way to a Boyz to Men Concert. They offered her an application. Her and her roommates nicknames were Scamp 1 and Scamp 2. I don't even remember the other girls real name.

Sigh. I hate pulling out this story, but I dated a woman I met at a bar downstairs from my apartment. She asked if she could give me her number. I pulled out my trusty Moleskine notebook. She grabbed it from me, yelled "WOOOOOO!", and ran outside and jumped in a cab. I had my phone number on the front page, and she called me the next day. She called me the next day and we've been in touch for well over a decade, to the point that she's been in my condo for several weeks over the past year.

This was a common dessert after eating our free employee meal at Red Lobster. We had a McDonald's next door. There was even a couple cases of cross-dating between the two restaurants.
