    Hello All,

I'm heading to Vegas in a little over 3 weeks & I was wondering from your experience which casinos on the strip are camera friendly. I heard recently that The Cosmo was? I've never had an issue in the past taking videos of slots although I keep my videos short. Just wondering so I know which casinos to watch out for.

    Thanks!

With all the smartphones out there, the casinos don't seem as strict on this as a decade or two ago. They may stop you of you are filming table games, players and the high limit room. Also around the cage or the people moving the money around.

You can film slot play at Cosmo and Aria. Sometimes V/P will allow me and other times I get stopped.

Folks seem to do it often. Just search youtube.

Discretion is the key of course.

I asked casino security and they said it was fine as long it was not live gaming. Might not be the same for every casino. That was at Orleans.

A couple trips ago I was in a restroom stall at Bellagio and I heard someone step in, narrating "and this is the very classy washrooms at Bellagio! Look at those sinks..."

I was hoping I wasn't about to be interviewed!
Their voice trailed off as they moved away and out.

If anyone sees footage of stalls at Bellagio with a pair of neon orange Nikes visible, it may be me! :D

I just video whenever I like. If security tells me to stop, I pretend I don't speak English.

I remember several years ago Luxor got down right militant about taking photos and videos.
They had signs posted and security ready to pounce! Might have been during the renovations.

First time I went Vegas I was in awe at the size of the sportsbook in The Excalibur. I swiftly pulled my phone out to take a snap to show my betting mates back in the UK and was strictly warned by security not to take pictures.

Yeah it used to be a BIG deal but not anymore. As said above filming table action is not allowed but pretty much anything else is.

That is when you let out a huge fart or grunt. Good way to help their video out

I trust that was added in post-production!

General rule is not to film table action, around the cage and to not point cameras at the ceilings, especially in the put areas or around the cage. Casinos do not want people mapping out camera locations and such.

I think most are pretty lax about just taking pictures. But, a lot will tell you to stop if you're taking a video. That is if they can tell.

When it comes to recording I find it best to ask for forgiveness then to ask for permission.
So far the only places to give me grief are Caesars and NYNY.
