Looking for some where downtown that is quiet where some friends can chat and catch up with an inexpensive drink.

What about the pool tables in the secret room at MSS? Can we get a drink at the bar and take up there? Is it quiet? When is it open?

    Any other ideas?

Vanguard Lounge or the Griffin in East Fremont. The Vanguard has a good happy hour plus specialty drinks of the day, usually about $5.

No you can not drink up there unless bring one with you. No place to sit, it is just an exhibit and really nothing to do except look or take pics

The Griffin on East Fremont is perfect.

Downtown Grand has a nice bar area near check in that is never crowded, service is great and it is usually pretty quiet in that area.

It will get busy late at night and on the weekends, but Frankie's Tiki Room is an excellent place to go, with good value for the (very strong) drinks. It is dark as hell but great.
