I have total rewards diamond, but I need to stay at Mandalay Bay (Mlife) for a conference. I want to see if Mlife will match my status at Mandalay Bay, but to do that I need my physical total rewards card printed prior to checking in at Mandalay Bay.
Where's the quickest place to get my physical total rewards card? I'll be coming from the airport and going to Mandalay Bay. Ideally I would have the uber driver wait while I get the TR card printed (if it's possible to get it done that quickly.)
    Thanks

My guess would be the Cromwell. It's closest to being on the way, the TR desk is relatively close to the back door, and the circle drive back there is wide enough they might not hassle the driver too much for waiting.

    This.

Through the back door on the right. Same location as the cash cage. If that isn't possible, can always have driver drop you off at MB and check your bags with the bell hop. Then you can take your time and make your way to PHo or what ever property you prefer. Much longer process though.

Save the trip. Mlife won't match your CET status.

Yeah, unless you feel like triggering a gaming day at CET for no reason, don't bother. They wont tier match you.

I know just about ANY activity seems to trigger a visit... not sure if a non revenue event getting a card will. I really do no know... but...

The next question.. what are you expecting to get from the tier match?

I definitely wouldn't chance it. They will know you are on property with a reprint.

I'm also unsure about if using parking triggers a gaming day, I haven't seen any confirmation from a trusted source.

If OP is going to MB, wouldn't it be close to go to PH vice Cromwell? Or did I misunderstand something. From the Airport, OP can go to the back of PH taking Paradise to Harmon and then go down the blvd or 15 to MB.

OP, as others have mentioned, Whats the purpose for match? MLIFE Plat doesn't give you much benefits. AFAIK, I don't believe MLIFE is tier matching in LV. FYI though, if you happen to be in or close to Atlantic City area, both TR and MLIFE and several other places are tier matching everything and everyone.

    Thanks!

In the reddit churning forum I saw a few datapoints showing that they may match it when initially signing up for mlife. I don't have an mlife account so I figured it was worth trying.

I'm not a gambler - I'm a credit card churner. I'm looking for a room upgrade at mandalay bay and mlife gold status that I can status match to hyatt.

I don't understand the "reprint" or "gaming day" terms. I won't be gambling at all - I'm just playing a status match game to try to get a room upgrade at mandalay bay and hyatt explorist status.

Is the best entrance off of the parking lot on the south side off of harmon? I'm looking at it on google maps.

If your Diamond status comes from Founders Card or some other type of status-providing back door, then don't worry about the hit. Folks are assuming you got it from gambling, and thus you're taking a risk at hurting your comps/offers from CET by going to get another card. Their records may end up showing you came one day and gambled $0 and that goes into your gaming history they base future hotel offers on.

As for the room upgrade, the Gold status upgrade that you would get if they matched in Vegas (they don't) is generally one level above what you book, which includes "strip view" categories and the upgrade is not a sure thing. I got it occasionally as a platinum player and it was rarely something really special.

Your future offers at CET will be adversely affected if you bother to get a card reprinted and not gamble that day. Same goes for using the Diamond Lounge, spending any amount of Rewards Credits, etc. This is because they will know you were on property and you decided to not gamble with them at all that day.

So if you currently get free rooms with CET now due to the amount you play, it's definitely not worth doing this because MLife in Vegas currently does not tier match CET at all.

Now if you decide you want to give your typical play at CET one day, then by all means, go ahead, reprint, and play on the card. Or if you got diamond via the Founders card and barely get anything off the room rates anyway, then a reprint won't hurt you much either since you have nothing to lose.

I got the TR diamond status via a wyndham diamond status match. For those interested the details can be found at https://www.dansdeals.com/points-travel/hotel-deals/match-hotel-status-wyndham-caesars-total-rewards-free-stays/

OK, thanks for your help. If there is consensus that a match will not work, then I won't go out of my way to print the Total Rewards card. I'll still try for a match before I check in at Mandalay Bay by using the TR app to show my diamond status. It won't hurt to try, right? :)

First, I read the same /r/churning thread you're referencing, and I thought all those data points were specifically in regards to the Borgota in AC. I did skim through it quickly, so I may have missed something, but I think you're looking at a real longshot to get a status match in Vegas.

Second, if you've downloaded the TR app, you can pull up a "virtual" diamond card on that, with your name and number. Really, if status match was going to work at all (probably won't), the virtual card should be just as good as the physical card, as long as it matches your drivers license. And that saves you the side trip to a CET property before you check in, and won't trigger the gaming day. Please report back and let us know if it did work, though. Good luck!

My guess is that if there is an upgrade available, your chances of getting it just for asking nice vs. the tier match are about the same, so not worth the extra effort. Getting in and out of PH is near impossible! Just visit it once and you will understand. Nothing that you can see on Google Maps will explain that.

Another thing, based on my limited understanding, any comps and/or upgrades are more based on your play history rather than your card level. So, if you don't gamble at all, I can't imaging that you will be getting much in the way of comps or upgrades.

Here's the thread in here about that. It mentions only Borgata.
    https://www.vegasmessageboard.com/forums/index.php?threads/borgata-match-caesars-diamond-card.153190/#post-1669487

CET will match just about anyone in LV, but no one/almost no one in LV cares about CET diamond.

Also Mlife Gold doesn't really get you much anyways. You don't get free rooms, no resort fee waiver, no lounge access, ....
You can check in at a separate desk at MB, get free valet parking, little better multipliers for points.

If you want to spend 10 minutes waiting in line at the Mlife desk, I would say go for it and try. But I would put money on the fact that it won't get you a match.

Edit. PS also not sure if that match still works. All those post were during the summer when Hard Rock and Oceans opened up and were offering matches to everyone.

The Borgata MLife Gold Tier match is valid until the end of the year I believe. However, if you visit that page on the Borgata website (below), it states in the fine print at the bottom of the page that the offer applies to new Mlife members only (however, it doesn't hurt to try)!

    https://www.theborgata.com/casino/m-life-rewards/m-life-rewards-gold-trade-up

Actually, I have a question, if anyone here knows the answer: let's say the Borgata tier matches someone who has a Diamond card and that person's account is linked with someone else - do both automatically become Gold since the accounts are linked?
