Back in my room. Similar photo as last night so VMBers new to AC have a sense from where I just walked. See the wheel in the distance..
Also just realized I can see Harrah's and Borgata at a distance from one of my windows. It is grainy as I zoomed in a bit and both my camera lense and the windows are dirty.
Thanks so much for all the great pictures! After all that walking I would be exhausted
That’s a good question, I had to look it up, it seems as if James was the first one. Their taffy is shorter but fatter, hence the phrase “cut to fit the mouth”. Fralinger’s came a few years later, their taffy is longer and thinner than James’. Today, both brands are owned by the same company. That Rita’s store sells frozen custard and water ice, it’s the only Rita’s on the boardwalk.
Congrats on being disciplined with your bankroll and your use of dining comps. I really enjoyed your photos, I don’t get a chance to walk the boardwalk in the evening. Glad you got a chance to visit Hard Rock, it has a great vibe and always has some: kind of entertainment going on. Safe travels back home.
Yeah, I definitely got more than 10k steps in today. Lol. But it wasn't bad. It was a leisurely stroll and not hot so very pleasant even in the sun.
Thanks for the taffy history. I love sweets, especially taffy, and as I was feeling very nostalgic today it was hard not to go in one of the stores and make a purchase.
Dozing off now, still looking out my window at the Ferris wheel with the flashing colors. Love this room and it has been a while since I have gotten a corner room, which tells me the casino is less crowded now post labor day though it is still lively.
Heading out in the am. Thanks for the good wishes and following along.
I have not been on the AC boardwalk in years, thanks for the photos. I think I may take a trip down on Monday (as my weekend starts on Mondays...) Cheers!
Love that corner room! Looks like a great time on the Boardwalk, thanks for the pix.
I just had to cancel a Caesars AC trip. Doing my best to reschedule for October!
Enjoy unomas and Burnsie and yes, the corner room is great. (I have since checked out but the last two digits of the corner room that I like are 35.) Waking up and looking out again at the ocean in two directions was so beautiful and calming. Never gets old.
Loved all your boardwalk pictures... I really love AC and your pictures captured all the good in AC..glad you had fun!
Thanks! And glad you enjoyed the pics!
@Flowers the only thing I will say about the Lightning Link Machines being capped is that's it's not a cap, it's a fixed jackpot payout. What I mean is it doesn't start at less than 10k and earn to 10k and then stop. It always is 10k. This is important because it should actually make those machines a better play. Machines that build for a progressive have to hold for a progressive and do so at the expense of more lower payouts. This should make the proposition at Caesars more favorable. I say should because they could always have a different hold programmed in.
Great report, @Flowers! One of the most picture- oriented detailed reports about the AC Boardwalk in a LONG time!
@Flowers — thank you for this awesome report! Best Atlantic City report I’ve read on here. First one that really gave me a feel for the vibe on the boardwalk. I have to make my way up there sometime.
Thank you alexm for that Lightning Link info and glad Tring and NPLV that you enjoyed!
This was my absolute favorite place to play last year. It's a great feeling property.
What a fun trip report! Loved all the pics, and I, too, am happy you had a great time.
I am looking forward to checking it out again soon. The sign up promo for the top tier including 2 nights comped sk I may stay there rather than at a CET AC property in October or November.
