    Hey All!!

My wife and I are deciding on the Carson Tower room at the Golden Nugget. We normally stay at the ElCo and we have stayed in other rooms at the GN but thought we might try the Carson Tower.

We have seen large groups going toward and coming from the Carson Tower area and are a little concerned about the elevator wait to and from the room. We'll be coming in mid-March and we need help on this subject.

***Please state your experience ONLY in the Carson Tower...the good & bad....Pro & Con***

Carson Tower crowds to and from the room? Is there a time to reduce crowds? Pro-Con

Elevator Wait in the Carson Tower? Pro-Con

Noise from others and street noise in the Carson Tower? Pro-Con

Suggestion/recommendation (room number) for a quiet room? Pro-Con

What few times we have stayed at the GN have been GREAT but we know nothing on the Carson Tower. We love Vic & Anthony's and the Chart House PLUS the close proximity to Hugo's Cellar.

If the con's out weigh the pro's......well we'll either go back to ElCo or a different area at the GN.

    Thank you for your help!!!

I haven't stayed at the Carson for several years, and the tower is the furthest away from the casino and Fremont Street than the other towers on property. But in the past I have stayed in Carson Tower rooms and don't recall any sort of extraordinary delays in the elevators arriving, etc. And never had a problem as far as street noise.

I'd vote yes on a stay.

Was just there ... no issue with elevator wait. Farthest from the casino but elevators are right by a Starbucks and the Uber drop and pickup. They will check your room key prior to entering the elevator area. Rooms are quiet. Nothing special but clean. We had a beautiful view of the parking deck.

Yes. No elevator issues. I like it because its quiet and away from Fremont street. Negative is the timeshare station is right by the carson tower elevator bank.

Stayed in Carson tower many times. Yes, it’s a good walk to the casino and Fremont Street. But it is quiet. Close to the parking garage if you have a car. The time share desk is right by the elevators, but they’ve never bothered me. I’ve never had a problem with the elevators and I was there once during a NASCAR weekend. Geez, were those guys ever obnoxious - 40 year old guys jamming 6 people into a room, like they were a bunch of broke college kids.

There’s a bathroom right next to the elevators. Very convenient for the morning constitutional. Your lovely bride won’t have to wake up to unpleasantness every morning.

Never had a problem with noise or elevators there. Refurbished rooms are actually nice!

There are 2 sets of elevators for the Carson Tower that help prevent any wait times.
The first hall was floors 3-9 the second 10-top if I remember correctly.
I think both halls had 6 or 8 elevators each - it’s been several years since I was in the Carson Tower.

    Have a great time!

I like the Carson tower rooms.....the walk is not bad, as I often go outside by Starbucks and in the Rush entrance. I had to be moved once as my room overlooked the D events area, and there was a band there that night. Otherwise I love the quiet rooms. I think they are pretty spacious, and have always been very clean.
As above....2 banks of elevators so always very quick.

Carson Tower - THE longest walk from room-to-casino in all of downtown... but, compared to the strip, not too bad.
No issue with my rooms at all there... but the times I've stayed at GN, they didn't have the exorbitant "resort fee" that they do now.
NOTE: The steak at Vic & Anthony's is quite good.

Agree with the Vic and Anthony's comment. One of my favorite steakhouses.

    Another +1 for V&A's

Superb steakhouse, and always a great all around dining experience.

I'm quite biased, as the Nugget has been my home since I moved downtown in 2012, and I spend at least 1/2 my trip there every summer. Therefore, I'll leave any questions to people that can give more balanced responses :)

I personally have never had any bad experience, when dealing with any member, of any part of the GN.

Plenty of elevators, and never much of a wait.

Carson Tower rooms are perfectly good, and you can dive into the casino a bit quicker if you head out by Starbucks, and back in at the Rush Tower entrance.

Didn't notice any noise on the couple of summers I stayed in the Carson, and I was there for a couple weeks over July 4th weekend.

The only GN tower where I have had elevator trouble was Gold Tower. Carson Tower, never a problem. The walk from Carson Tower to the casino/Fremont street would register as very close in most major Strip resorts.

Rooms are nicer in the other towers, but they are nice in Carson. The worst room in Carson Tower* is going to be much better than the average room in most Strip resorts. For people looking for a nice standard room in a great location, Carson Tower at GN is a longstanding solid Vegas deal. Now, people will quibble about GN in general, but overall it's a nice place with nice rooms a a nice price.

It gets crowded on weekends, but so does downtown in general.

*I am guessing I have never seen the worst room in Carson Tower.

If you are at the end of the hall in the Carson Tower, it is 3 blocks to Fremont St. entrance to the casino from your room. Farther than a room at the Downtown Grand would be. Other than that, never had an issue with it. Lol, the Plaza South Tower is actually closer to the entrance to the Rush Tower than the rooms in the Carson Tower, unless you take a shortcut outside....

Amen. After our last trip there I decided I'd never stay there again. I'd pay the upgrade to a closer tower or stay somewhere else. I'm not against walking, I usually hit 20-25k steps each day in Vegas, but it prevents a quick run back to the room from Fremont, unless you count 30 minutes (round trip) quick.
