If you are looking to expand off-strip, I second checking out Rampart. It's a very different vibe from the strip, but a nice little casino, great pool (although the scene is chill/relaxed not party/club), and the base rooms at the hotel are quite nice, so I imagine the suites are great. I've also had some very good meals at Hawthorns.

The two other places you may want to consider for off-strip are Green Valley Ranch and Red Rock. Very much a resort feel, good restaurant options. Never been to either of the pools, but my aunt and cousin (locals) rave about the GVR spa. The Boyd program isn't great for low level VP players, but at your level of play, I expect they'd treat you very, very well.

And lastly, the new Circa (opening later this year) Downtown might be worth looking into. If it turns out to be half as nice as the renderings look, it will be a great place to stay. And downtown is a lot of fun, even if only for a night or two.
