I normally visit Las Vegas starting from either Sunday or Monday afternoon. CET properties such as Paris, Ballys and Flamingo have large check in counters but only 2-3 clerks working the line. Do these hotels add any more personnel during Friday or Saturday?

Yes, but the lines are correspondingly longer-- in my experience, the additional staff are rarely (if ever) enough to make up for the significantly increased number of people. If you're coming on a weekend and avoiding those lines is important to you, I strongly suggest trying for an early- or self- check in. Most of the CET properties have kiosks now, and they're supposed to be quite painless as long as you don't need to make any requests that deviate from your reservation.

You know, you dont have to check in right at the time they tell you to. Just leave your gear with the bell desk and come back a few hours later when the line is gone.

Actually, you might be better off trying to checkin early. Many people really believe you must wait until after the "official" checkin times - usually 3pm. In reality, that time means nothing. You have two issues.

1 - getting through the line
    and

2 - They have to have rooms that are clean and ready.

If you are Diamond there is a separate check-in area. If you are Platinum there are separate lines normally, or may be in the same area as Diamond. Always shorter.
