I did a search on here but couldn't find anything concrete. My plane lands in Vegas on Tuesday a little after 10 am. Having never used Uber or Lyft at McCarran I'm guesstimating I should be at Bally's around 11am ish. (I'm not checking any bags). Is that too early to check in on a Tuesday? I'm staying in an Indigo room and not looking for any upgrades.

Has anyone checked in super early at Bally's recently? I'd even be ok with a small charge to check in early. I am a lowly Gold member. Otherwise I guess I can leave my one big bag at the bell desk and keep my important items (cash, electronics, meds, etc) with me.

    Thanks!

I fly the red eye from Hawaii every time and arrive in Vegas at 730am, never had a problem checking in early, just don't do the auto check in and you should be fine.

There's nothing lowly about gold. Most casinos charge for an early check in, but if you get a nice person at the front desk they might wave it. Have fun, btw Ballys is a great casino with a great location.

Shalom! Hit or miss. Stated check in is 4 pm. Even at that time I have been told my room was not yet ready.(They did give me a voucher for a meal, however.) The TR website indicates that early check in is possible with an additional charge. So it's really luck of the draw and certainly worth asking for!

Total Rewards properties are usually pretty dogmatic about charging an early check in fee (before 4pm I think ... might be 3).

Bell desk is likely the way to go. No harm in asking but I would not have your hopes up.

I was told in the diamond/7* check in so it may not pertain to anyone not diamond or 7* but Caesars Palace was hit and miss with my room being ready around 8:30am...sometimes it was, sometimes there was between 1-3 hours before it was ready so we would just get breakfast till they called us

now I stayed at ballys and both times arrived at 8am, the room was ready, she said if you call them the day before you arrive and let them know you are coming, they will have it ready for you

I have stayed there before and tried to check in early... always just ask nicely and usually if the room is available they will let you in. Worst case scenario... leave bag at bell desk and come back later.

11am isn't super early just like 10pm isn't super late.

You'll show up at Bally's. You'll visit the front desk. You'll say, "HEY, can I check in now?" They'll say, "Yes!" or "Oy vey. Come back later you crazy mashugana."

Just got back from Bally's, we checked in at around 8 am, room wasn't ready yet but bell hoped the bags and came back a few hours later. Very painless, Bally's is probably my favorite place to stay in Vegas

Yes, always asking nicely will improve your chances of the front desk making that extra effort to get you a room!!

I stayed there in July AND August and checked in before 1pm each time. Nothing was mentioned about a fee nor was I charged. I simply smiled and was courteous.

At Paris they told me that early check-in was waived for comped rooms & not for paid rooms. I checked into Ballys around 10:30 though with no issues. Likely will be dependent on the check-in clerk. Just politely explain that you have no issue checking your bags but you do not feel comfortable checking your medicines & would really like them safely in your room.

Just got back from Ballys and our room was never ready until close to 4pm. Last year when we went during Christmas with the kids and stayed there our room we checked in and room was ready before noon!! Didn't get charged for early check in was platinum at the time

Am I the only one that hates the Uber/Lyft pick-up at McCarran? It's like a mile walk from when you get off the plane to the pick up spot!

Is the signage clear on how to get to the pickup? I'm using Uber from the airport tomorrow for the first time. I know not to request the ride until I'm in the area.

I had to ask a few people that worked at the airport when I was there in June. There was not any signage at all. It took me a good 20 minutes to find the pick-up area. I don't know if its changed or not since then but I'll keep an eye out for your experience as I'm going to be in Vegas Saturday.

We have checked in at 8am with no problem. We have also checked in at 2 and not gotten a room until 6.

All depends on various factors. Biggest is : how busy are they? How many rooms did they end the previous night with - empty? vs being full and they have to be cleaned. Conferences in town are a big factor.

Overall, an 11am checkin has resulted in maybe a 70% or so success rate over the years.

I'll definitely post here about my experience with Uber at McCarran tomorrow.
