Good afternoon everyone I have a question regarding some real nice rooms I have comped for the weekend after CES week this january.

I booked a handful of rooms and suites for the week of and the weekend after CES. CES is a real tough time to get rooms in vegas so I just hook up a handful of friends, they take me to CES and everyone is happy. Here is my dilemma,
I had one friend who needed three suites and one room, some for CES and some for the weekend after, so I hooked him up. However a few weeks back his plans changed and he is not going. I gave a few rooms away and now still have two really nice suites left.
The first is RFB at wynn for a 2300 sq ft 2 bedroom suite from jan 11-14th. They also are giving me 4000 in chips.
The second is RFB at cosmo a 2400 sq ft 2 br penthouse also jan 11-14th. They are giving me 4500 in chips.

My question is should I sell these suites, I of course am keeping the chips, however if I cancel the rooms I am out the free chips. I personally am staying at venetian for CES and will pop into these hotels to play some. As far as theoretical and justifying the comps it does not factor in at all, I play plenty. I am thinking even if I sell the suites cheap I still make 13000 or so when factoring in the free chips. I just worry about some dopes destroying things when they are my guests. What do you guys think? Sell or cancel?

I would just check in and out of the suite yourself and then just not stay there. If your giving them the play you aren't screwing them

    Bam,

Thanks for the response, as far as not screwing them I never feel obligated to play. My offers just like the majority of casino guests are a product of past history. Long gone are the days when a host could speculate and comp someone. Nowadays as I am sure you know it is all about what is on that computer in front of them. The reason I would consider not just checking in is if the room has no room service or restaurant charges, and even no key access to the room over the weekend it is pretty obvious no one stayed in the room. Even housekeeping makes a note when a vip room has obviously not been used. This is part of the reason I am thinking of selling the rooms or just canceling.

If you are going to be gambling there anyway, just pop into the rooms and mess up the sheets or drop a deuce or something.

I'm double booked that weekend, and Cosmo is one of the places I have a room. I'll gladly watch your suite for you while you use your comp chips!

not sure i'd try it with a random person with a room that high end, but you could add the person to the room and have them leave their credit card on file for incidentals. I'd try to find someone i know and trust first...

I live in Vegas and would gladly stay in one of the rooms if you decide to go that way. I would do no damage and am very respectful.
