Prostitutes stealing from your room?

newbie solo traveller from the uk, been in Vegas for three days had a ball so far, meet up with a guy who sat next to on the plain he mentioned that he had taken a hooker home on the first night, he explained that while he was in the bathroom she left taking all of his valuable items, is this quite common had my guard up ever since I heard this

Most hookers are honest and high morals. However, there are some that create a bad name for the hard working ones just looking to make an honest living.
 
Here are several general safety rules to follow:
1) If they say you are going to get 2 girls for the price of 1 this is a dead giveaway you are about to be robbed. One will keep you occupied while the other grabs your stuff.
2) If they ask you to go in the bathroom and "clean up" be sure you dont have any accessible valuables in your room. This is generally when they grab your stuff and run.
3) You can generally get a safe deposit box with the front desk or cage which you can place valuables so they aren't with you and your acquintance.
4) I know several people who reserve a 2nd room just for this purpose. This way they have nothing in there to be taken.

I have never taken up the offers.... but if I did, it would be another room with nothing in it. And, my ID/Credit card etc would be hidden or in the safe.
 
You just never know whom you can share a row of seats with on a plane anymore. Great story although what was he thinking?
Talk about blood rushing from the brain!!
 
Just have to be safe wallet/computer /electronics all in the safe
Put all your stuff in closet/dresser dont leave anything on desk/table/couch.

Dont get one if are drunk/hammered
 
Thanks for the tips, decided to give it a miss and stick to meeting hookers at home, got a number from a girl last night, put the number in google it came up with a review straight away saying avoid scam and possible HIV warning waiting his test results after showing several symptoms, so that's me decided it's not worth it just enjoy the rest of my Vegas trip, I sat in Caesars Palace bar behind reception there were at least six girls trying to get my attention see pic I took on the sly

Lol they weren't hookers were they? I can't freaking tell
 
The three rules of identifying a Vegas hooker: they are dressed just a little too hot; they are alone, because hot girls love to go out alone; they are talking to me.
 
I know a guy (no it's not me) who was stupid enough to go downstairs to meet another guy to "handle some business" and left the hooker in the room. She'd been there for over 4 hours, so he said he felt "comfortable" with her. She grabbed a pillow-case and swipe everything in the mini-bar and the snacks above, the Bose clock radio, his electric shaver and anything else that wasn't nailed down. Fortunately, he had his wallet and watch on him!

I had never thought of a guy ( not you ) having the contents of a mini bar stolen. For some reason that made me laugh......figure in the macadamia nuts and scotch and the mini bar contents might have been more expensive than the cervix call.

Plus the Bose clock radio too......guess it wasn't Ellis Island :):):)
 
Not a prostitute, but one time after a couple of cocktails I brought a girl back to my room. We did a couple of one armed push-ups, cuddled a bit and I was out like a light. When I woke up, she was gone and like a dope, I left my bankroll in my pants pocket. It was gone.

So from now on, I tell my wife to use her own bankroll and leave mine alone.
