    That was your tip off?

    I thought it was...

    - Effectively this is an armed robbery but in the end the OP is "OK" with it cuz it was all just a gag from his friends

    - Quick enough on his feet, after just waking up, to come up with a fake name but when the girl goes in to the bathroom to look for stuff (thats probably its own issue there) his plan is to run in to the room, rather than out in to the hallway and use one of the phones in the hallway to call security.

    - He hid his wallet, but still had $50 to give her?

    - He says in the first part that he is a shy and quiet kind of guy but this woman is pushing her way in and wielding a knife and yet the whole time he is pretty much in control of the situation and doesn't seem to have any fear of the woman.

    - Didn't call security from his room. The way Luxor is set up security should have been able to nab her before she could get off the property.

    - It has been a while since we stayed in a pyramid room but the tower elevators need a room key to unlock a floor and I am thinking the inclinators are the same.

    - In one part of the report he is trying to get a group of girls up to the room, but then in a later paragraph he has a clear shot at a girl and is taking a pass because of fear of STDs and then turns down the older woman later on as well.

So there's a couple of holes in the story...

That was just the "readers digest" version of his report. Expect the holes to be filled when he submits the full report. :evillaugh :rolleyes2:

I'm not sure why everyone is so quick to dismiss this guy as false. Yes, he could be making this up, but it's certainly not far fetched at all. Maybe it's because I'm around his age, and at 23 I'm still in school and do the whole college deal. From my eyes Vegas is a breeding ground for every word he said (though I haven't had a prosty bust through my door before, that's a new one, probably a good thing most of my trips are solo =)

As far as the turning down girls side of it, I have to agree with the OP. In theory, if I'm a single guy in Vegas, I'd nail girls left and right.... however in reality, if a girl is throwing herself at me like in the story, I'd be a little worried and reality would set in that maybe this girl gets around more than most since I'm an average guy (not model status, not a High Roller, not throwing money around the bar/club) or she's a professional (escort or theif), or I'm just really lucky (which I certainly don't bet on in Vegas, or I'd put my entire bankroll on an outside roulette bet). Neither of the first two options that I would want to go after for the same reasons as the OP, and that's hat or no-hat. Now if I was a single guy in Vegas, met a girl in the daylight on the strip, talked her up, got a good reaction out of her, spent the night with her.... then yes of course I'd retire with her to whoevers room was closer and throw on the hat when the opportunity presented itself.

Regardless of whatever happens with that though, Las Vegas sure is filled with a lot of eye candy, I can say that safely =)

    >So once we get to Vegas we decided to go clubbing at tryst.
Not a particularly sensible decision to make.
    >pay like $300 for a bottle of Grey Goose, leaving me feeling like I got raped.
You did. Or at least your wallet did.

    >I have a good buzz going and become the life of the party.
No you are drunk and become an obnoxious buffoon.

    >It then hits me, she is a prostitute.
Man, you must have been really shitfaced if it took you that long to catch on.

    >It then hit me these jackasses called her to my room:grrr:
Well, you finally got something right!! Jackasses they are!!

    >they got her number from a porn flier.
Just because she is a for rent doesn't mean she shouldn't behave honorably.
No knives, no wallets, no threats, no drugs ... just provide the service and leave quietly.

    >ideas on how to get them back on our next trip?
Yes, I have a great idea on how you can get back at them:
Act responsibly with your money. Don't pay outrageous prices for a bottle of booze or for a pair of boobs to pour the booze.
Stay sober so that if approached on the street by a hooker, it doesn't take you a week to figure out what is going on.
Play a game with a low house edge.
    Be a tight, highly-disciplined player.
Come back from Vegas with your pockets bulging with your winnings.
Nothing will get back at those jackasses better than your being a sober winner.

I'm also a skeptic because I am a young college guy too and it has never crossed my mind not to bring domers to Vegas, it's just common sense!

I'm not saying this report is a complete lie. Just the part about getting a bottle of GG for $300 at Tryst. Not a chance. You will get about 1/3-1/4 of a bottle of GG at that price.
