hey guys,

so im planning to pop the question to my gf of 5 years now to marry me. Where better than vegas, we both love it out there. it would be on our birthday weekend in sept. any good spots with or without a view (def something romantic) i can ask her to marry me. thanks guys!!

Tons of ideas here... along with the ones that others will give, do a search on PROPOSAL and you will find even more ideas.

Or just do what my nephew did - married her in Vegas.

Hey, as one who did JUST this and struggled with the same question, here are my thoughts:

Where do you and her enjoy spending time, and what is the meaning or beauty of each spot. To make a long story short, though, I wound up with a fairly obvious solution: the Bellagio fountains in front, in one of the little viewing areas that duck in off the sidewalk.

Some details, as by an insane stroke of luck we were landing in town for our dating anniversary. I stalled and timed it out so that at Midnight our time, as we started our next year together we'd "also be engaged" etc. etc. and it went very well.

Maybe you can spin something out of the birthday weekend portion of it, and I'd DEFINITELY do it on her birthday somehow, even if it's the night before at midnight or something like that.

Best of luck, and very early congratulations to you!

I proposed to my now wife at the top of the Stratosphere. About 18 months later we got married there. The view is second to none, and we always hit up the Strat for a quick visit whenever we are in town.

I proposed in the electronics aisle of a Target. She said yes and 14 years later, we are still together. Your mileage may vary.

Both of us have always enjoyed the Voodoo Lounge at Rio. I would recommend that spot if only for the view.

I did it to my now-wife almost 7 years ago. Did it at the Venetian which is her favorite property. I'd recommend doing it someplace that holds a meaning to both of you (my wife's favorite place in Vegas is the Venetian).

I proposed to my wife at the Welcome to Vegas sign with some friends with us on our annual fall trip.

A great way is a SURPRISE experience; make her think you're doing something routine/boring but then the experience is upgraded to something special. Multiple ways, if you like sports convince her you really like the XYZ game and want to go Venetian Sports Book bar. But when you get there you just want to walk through the canals and then you pop the question and take her to a nice dinner after.

@eber91
Our now SIL proposed to our daughter at dinner at Picasso @Bellagio (let the staff in on the proposal plan) - they are both such romantics it was the perfect setting for them.

Maybe a Gondola ride at Venetian; really all the places aleady mentioned in other posts sound wonderful too.

How exciting!!!!
Early Congrats and as @bjpcyclone and @CenterfieldNine mentioned, choose a place that is meaningful to the both of you.

True story how I proposed to my wife

1) On our way to Vegas in 2012, I told her we were taking a detour to the Hoover Dam. I had wanted to propose to her on top of the bridge. she complained about how hot it was the whole time and how stupid it was coming there and the heat made her cranky so we left.
2) Later that afternoon, I took her to the Bellagio fountains...ring in hand, I was waiting for the music to stop and the crowd to disperse. She kept complaining about how hot it was and how there were too many people and how she was cranky....so we left..
3. I regrouped and told myself I have one last shot....I told her we were gonna go to the Canals and go on a gondola ride....she told me she was too hot and she was cranky and that if she didn't lay down she would die..So we left.

When we got back to the room, I got undressed and got down to my underwear and with nothing else on. I proposed to her in our room at the Aria in my underwear. I explained to her after that this was the best she was going to get.

We're still married to this day.

Tip: Don't propose when it is too darn hot outside.

If I would've tried this, my [hopefully] bride-to-be would've been laughing too hard to give me an answer! :D
I'm glad it worked for you, though!!!
