Apparently they do not make studio audience members sign any NDAs, but they do ask them nicely to keep quiet about what they see until the episodes they witness have aired. They say that works for the type of folks that are likely to attend a taping of Jeopardy. This comes from a WaPo article that was being passed around yesterday.

There was a report on the news this morning that he is only $60k away from taking over the record. He may get it done before the season is over.

Given that he is averaging north of $70k per show, it's more likely than not that the record will fall on Monday.

A little over 58K is all he needs to crack the record. he will most likely get that in the next episode.

LOL, it would be ironic if he lost on the day he was expecting to break the record!

(ObSeinfeld: Yeah, but what's ironic mean?) :)

Yeah, and a weird awkwardness too. If it wasn't for the gambling connection, I wouldn't like him at all.

I thought the Onion was supposed to be funny. Perhaps I have no sense of humor. Wouldn't shock me.

Lame attempts at comedy for $2,000, Alex.

Let's face it the kid is a whiz on 95% of the categories , extremely smart. He is the only that can lose on a big wager ,if not he will be there for a good while. What do you think @grosx2

Said in an interview he used the " for dummies" books to prepare.
Also said that he would have lost, I think on day 2, except for the fact he knew an answer because it involves his child's name

If you are anti-spoiler, consider this post a warning to avoid reading news feeds, rumor sites, twitter posts, etc, that will undoubtedly be discussing Jeopardy rumors that are now being posted all around. I will not post the info here, but you might want to stop reading here and avoid the next paragraph, way below.

There are reports of a circulating unauthorized video about a significant future Jeopardy round played by James H. I am purposely being vague about it. You can google if you want to know more about what it is, the possible timing, and if you can handle the search result being a spoiler, assuming the info is correct.

His chance of losing on any one particular episode is so small, that I think it's entirely possible that he will be the champion for many more weeks and months.

Every so often, I check on the site that compares Jennings and Holzhauer through the same number of games (https://thejeopardyfan.com/2019/04/james-holzhauer-ken-jennings-comparison.html).
They are fairly similar in most categories (aside from winnings), with Holzhauer having the slight advantage.

There is a fairly significant gap between correct response % (97.2 to 92.5), and an even bigger one on daily double % correct (94.7 to 84.9), indicating that Holzhauer will be even tougher to take down than Jennings.

But the single stat that I find most impressive is Holzhauer's prowess on Final Jeopardy. Through 32 games, he has answered 31 final questions correctly; Jennings only managed 21. As percentages, it's 96.9 to 65.6.

What that final Jeopardy stat means is that someone won't just have to be within striking distance to take down Holzhauer, but they will, in all likelihood, need to actually be leading the game heading into Final Jeopardy. That's a pretty tall order, given Holzhauer's elite trivia chops and skill with the buzzer.

The perfect storm of factors that cause him to lose will happen sooner or later; my money is definitely on later...

That should have had spoiler tags. Kinda rude to just post it like that even with a handful of line breaks.

My hubs has a weird conspiracy theory that James knows someone from the inside and they are providing him the answers which he is memorizing before every game. He started to form that theory when he answered a very easy question where the question was who is Dr. Dre but he said Dre like “dreee”, like how could you not know how to pronounce the name, kinda weird for a 34 year old dude...

But who knows! His underbite smile cracks me up though and he’s a lot of fun to watch. And obviously his gambling method is why he’s killing everybody.
