Pretrip poker report Luxor 8/9 -8/16

Well... Getting down to departure time...

Flight itinerary from hell - I leave Kabul at 1500hrs on the 8th, and get into Dubai at about 1800hrs. Next flight is to Amsterdam at 0100hrs on the 9th. I get another 7 hrs in Amsterdam, then its on to Dulles and then into Vegas by about 2300hrs on the 9th.

Goals this trip:

- Don't get held up at US Customs just because I've been in Afghanistan for 6 months.
- Log enough poker play at the Luxor to get casino rate.
- Win at least one of the Luxor's daily tournaments.
- Play at least one 'mid level' tournament - either the $60+$40 at Mirage or Orleans - (and WIN)
- Spend one night drinking (drinking = NO POKER) and casino-hopping downtown with one of my friends who is flying down to meet me in Vegas. She hasn't shot craps before, so I'm hoping she has lots of 6's, 8's and 9's in her! (and NO SEVENS!)
- Regain my sanity after 6 months in Kabul!

If anyone is going to be in town this week and playing poker, you'll find me at the Luxor, or at Orleans, Bellagio or Mirage...
