Trips to Las Vegas
8
Going from 20-23 Mar, staying at Planet Hollywood this trip.

Was at 4 Queens in December, but haven't gotten any good offers from them even though I gambled 90% of my time there. I spent one afternoon at Planet Ho in December, and have received 6 mail offers from them, and this offer is 4 days/3 nights free with a comp entry into a slot tourney.

Normally I don't plan, just go with the flow - but I do like to see shows, so I planned everything this trip.

Thur - arrive at noon, will see 'O' Thur evening (ticket in hand). Planning to eat at Yolo's inside Planet Ho, which recently opened.

Fri - slot tourney/will see 'Love' (tickets in hand) with my sister, and eat probably at Stack's afterward (her treat for my birthday.

Sat - slot tourney/Awards presentation/will see 'KA' (ticket in hand) and eat at CraftSteak (reservation) for my birthday (wanted to eat at Alize, but couldn't get a reservation through Open Table.com).

In between, gambling of course, as well as some strip wondering up to Bellagio, CP, and Paris. I plan on talking to a casino host to se what level they had me playing at in December, just to make sure I keep the playing up to continue to receive offers.

I probably went overboard on the Cirque du Soleil thing, but in December, I saw 'Mystere' and still think it was fabulous and I know that I won't get back to Vegas until September or so, so I went ahead and booked one a night.

Did you try calling directly for a reservation? I did this when I couldn't get the time I wanted online so I called the hotel and they put me through!
Either way...it sounds like a great trip!

Sounds like a lot of fun!

I want to second angel...

Try calling Alize directly. There have been several times (both in Vegas and here in Chicago) that Open Table said there were no openings (for various restaurants)... each time I was able to get a reservation by calling directly.

I'm jealous! We stayed at Planet Ho last June and gambled almost exclusively there -- we were hoping to get some good offers so that we could return, but we have only received one paltry offer...and it wasn't that great. We'd stay there again, but not at full price, esp when we can stay at HE properties comped. I really loved PH, and I hope you have a great time!

Sounds awesome, and Happy Bday!
MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM! Craftsteak, I love the Platinum skirt Kobe beef and the lobster bisque is incredible.

Thanks for the tips - I hadn't actually thought of calling Alize directly. I will do that.

And Leeza - it is really weird how the offers work. I only went to Planet Ho in December early to pick up my ticket for Stomp Out Loud, and ended up sitting at the Heart Bar and playing bar top VP and BJ (although at $1 a shot). I wasn't there that long, but I managed to make my initial $60 last 4-5 hours.

And get this - last night, checked the mail - another offer from Planet Ho, called the 'VIP Birthday experience'. It's for 2 weekday nights free, $50 in casino chips, $50 in dining credits, two passes to Spa by Mandara, and a free Planet Ho plush robe as a birthday gift (they also are adding weekend nights at casino rate). I might be calling to see if I can add this on to stay another two nights - this is ridiculous.

And Scratch - thanks for the recommendation of the Kobe skirt steak - I just might try that! I have been wanting to try Tom Colichio's place since watching Top Chef during the first couple of seasons.

I did eat last trip at Strip House inside Planet Ho, and that was very good - I thought it better than Delmonico. Not as good as Circus Circus' SteakHouse, but very good.

We had some friends who just stayed at PHo on that birthday offer. I got the offer last week--but the room wasn't free:rolleyes2: We all stayed there together last summer, but obviously our friends gambled more than we did. It's annoying--because for the past 5 years, we had gambled more than they did at Aladdin.....I don't like the new casino as much, so I didn't gamble there as much on our last trip. Oh well......

So Craftsteak is TOm's? Love him on TOp Chef.
And I spent a few dollars over different days at PH, which I love, in Oct and only got a$99 a night for birthday in April. And the robe. We had stayed at Paris but my son and wife were at PH. The music was great and you could hear it at the Heart Bar. At Paris if you sit at the center bar for VP, you hear the tv's, the piped music and the live music on the side. Too much. But I do love it's small atmosphere. Great for ladies traveling - feel safe.
