the Ponca tribe of Nebraska has received approval from Bureau of Indian Affairs for their casino at Carter Lake Iowa. Nebraska and Iowa officials are of course trying to legally stop the opening. They contend that the tribe purchased the land and it is not sovereign land to the tribe. Only 9000 square feet and 200 slots but looking to expand to 25,000 square feet. Personally, I welcome the competion to Ameristar and Harrahs Coucil Bluffs locations. The 3 current casinos in the Bluffs are at the bottom of the heap in payback percentage of all Iowa casinos. Good luck to the Prarie Flower!
