Fair warning - I went to a Toad the Wet Sprocket Fremont Street show, in July a few years ago - at midnight, it was still 100+ degrees on the street & the entire area was jammed-packed with people.
My original plan had been to grab a table, early, on the Gold Diggers balcony (Golden Nugget) overlooking the stage. That planned died when, as I was about to be seated by the hostess, I was informed that each table required a $500 minimum spend... so, even assuming 3 others would be at the same table, my share of drinking would have been $125, plus tip.
    I gave it a pass.

I would take the "over" on that line, so you'd be covered!

    Edit-to-add:
Sorry about the losses (temporary, I hope). Sure seems like bacc was your "go to" for past victories.
Anyway, I guess I'll withdraw my "over" call, as it was made before reading the rest of the thread!
    Good luck!
Both in Vegas & in August for the job change.

    @topcard

I never made it to downtown

It was too hot and didn’t care about the show so much.

Craps was my downfall. Was winning at blackjack and baccarat till I was on tilt from craps. Made me lose my senses.

I can live with the loss.

    Heading home now

I would never bet on the ‘boys to win the Super Bowl - I probably should have said that up front - but I’m happy put in the bet on NO or GB. Both look like decent value as far as SB futures go.

I took the 'under' at 5.5 items on the list...did I win? :ssst:
Some trips are winners, more are losers...The key is, did the total cost of the trip equal the comp and entertainment value? Probably not this time...$15,000 is A LOT of comp and entertainment value (or a family vacation to Europe), but you have to average in the last bunch of trips and think about it on an annual basis.

What’d you think of the Sterling Brunch? We went quite a few years back, when it was ONLY $80/per person and it was dandy. I’ve heard selection and quality have declined, disproportionate to the price increase. Thoughts? Pictures? Is Duff still serving there....he was amazing!

I went to the Sterling Brunch in April. I'm glad I did it, for the experience. Not sure I'd do it again.

    I’m not going to repeat

    The service was sub par.

Did not bring rolls. Did not refill champagne and orange juice.

Food was just alright. For over $100 a person I expected a little better service. I had a 7 Star book thru his host and got crappy service

Still. I’m happy to try it but won’t be back

    How was Charlie's?
Just checked their menu onLine and they appear very expensive. Was it worth the price?

Staying @ Wynn in about a month and not sure whether to add this place to the list.

It was a comp. Most food prices are over priced at the Wynn since you pay for the service, atmasphere, and food.

Charlie's is one of the cheaper places to eat.
