After lots of talk, the day has come. Legal pots sales now exist for anyone in Nevada. All you need is an ID (21+) and some cash. This article lists places where you can buy it. There are rules of course, though most are just that - rules.

Like no partaking in hotels or casinos. (yea, right).

Looking forward to live reports from folks that have donated to the State of Nevada.

Looks like one is next door to our timeshare, that we spend 3 or 4 days at each trip! Perhaps a 7 day stay there next trip is in order, to re-live our ill spent youth.

It's not legally available in quite ALL of Nevada yet. Carson City and a few other smaller entities have chosen a "slow-play" strategy. Carson's Board of Supervisors imposed a moratorium on recreational pot businesses of any kind through September 19th. The earliest retail sales could begin is after their second meeting in August (August 19th). The Board claims certain codes, primarily zoning related need to be updated to comply.

Awful so far. Had to deal w the smell a few times this trip, and is only going to get much worse I fear.

This is what I fear. I'm not a fan and since it has such a strong smell I worry about it being an issue for those of us who aren't so excited by this change. I fear that this could make Vegas less enjoyable to me depending on how "in your face" it is. Any smell in my room would be a complete deal breaker for me.
