I hope you got a chance to eat at the Squaxin Island Seafood Bar. Casual, affordable, and excellent. @Sonya, The rooms are not stunning, but quite comfortable. There is also a really nice pool hot tub area.

No we haven’t tried the seafood bar and you are spot on with the rooms although with 3 kids in tow ours looks like a tornado blew through here.

I haven't. We were going to before Covid blew through. Since then I haven't been to eat. Only been in there because their bathrooms are nicer than the gas station out front. :haha: I'll suggest it for lunch next time, instead of the yummy taco truck in Shelton.

Haha.. okay no room photos necessary. ;)

Adulting at Knoebels Grove. An old time amusement park. No parking or entrance fees. Good times for sure.

What a blast from the past. I grew up in Central PA and fondly remember Knoebels Grove. Happy to see it’s still around.

I finally ventured down there and got a comp night from my play, which I used on the way back from Westport. That's more than I have ever gotten from Clearwater, and I really like the table game ambiance there (and they seem to comp table games well)
so this might be my new local. Wish I saw your post before I chose to eat at the starlight lounge, which quite honestly stunk. Do they comp you well there? or was my one night pretty much it?

It is a very nice property. but the Starlight Lounge literally does stink. I am a low rolling poker player, but the one time I played a bit of craps I got comped. I think it's dependent on who is in the pit.

BTW, their buffet is also quite good.

Thanks, their buffet is closed for now, possibly for good but I really hope they bring it back.

I did see they are reopening their poker room very soon if not already though!

Yup. I just found out that it opened on the 5th and they had $200 high hand giveaways every half hour. I wish that I could have made it! I've done well there in these infrequent promotions. My buddy and I played in them twice. The first time he one one and I won three! The next time we both won two. The third time I was sole and … well, don't ask! :(

    A few shots from NYC...

Yep there's a Ferris Wheel in NYC.
Then a view of a shopping mall right at the Edge.
A view from the Edge. That was the closest I could get to that glass bottom.
    Our flight home.
And just loved our hotel bathroom with the rainfall shower. IMG_20210827_202444507.jpg IMG_20210827_124430448.jpg IMG_20210827_102028800.jpg IMG_20210828_195333602.jpg Screenshot_20210901-143633.png
