    'Tis the season.

Is this the worst holiday gift you can get someone?

Do you work for a company that is wasting $1000s sending Popcorn Tins to employees/customers?

Does anyone like these? (I admit...this is the only time I'll eat cheese and caramel popcorn...but most of time they are a waste).

Do you get these for anyone? Hmm...maybe I'll send one to the in-laws...

I only send them from Topsy's in Kansas City. It's the best popcorn I've ever had. Everyone I send them to loves it, especially the cheese flavor-

At my last job, all staff sat together and the independent contractors we supported would come and drop off so many of these tins. I am having flashbacks now.

I didn't know cans were still a thing,.

I thought everything converted to baskets of cone shaped cellophane bags... and way more than plain, caramel and cheese.

It's huge in my region. When I first moved here I didn't understand what all the fuss was about. Once I actually tried the popcorn I was bowled over. I guess Kansas City is famous for BBQ, Chiefs, and popcorn :)

I get them for my insurance agent's office or anywhere I need to give a "group gift", such as break room snacks.

I think "wasting" is a matter of opinion. Would I prefer a cash bonus from my employer? Sure, but I think any kind of gift is a nice gesture.

I freaking love these things, but I hate that when you're done with it, you just have this giant tin that goes to waste. Are they recyclable?

I keep them and refill them at my local Topsy's the following year... they give a $5 discount for bringing in your own tin

Unless it’s from Garrett, don’t bother for me.

It’s the thought that counts, but is there any thought in a generic $6 popcorn tin?

The kids used to love them and they loved keeping the tins after. I quit buying them when they quit eating them.

I have a bunch of coins in old popcorn tins in my garage, mostly tins that vendors gave me at work ….I also may be the reason for the nationwide coin shortage/distribution issues!

Obviously a fair amount of people would probably rather have cash or something else but I’m not sure the gift is that awful that it’s meritorious of a forum rant. I’m sure a lot of companies give nothing.

How fresh can this popcorn be? How long has the popcorn been in that can?

From what I've read, an unopened tin can stay fresh up to 2 months
