I'm posting this in 'misc' because im asking about all resort pools.. strip, downtown and off strip.

I'll be in Vegas in early may and looking to use a pool, since i'll be staying at a place without. What resorts will:

    A) let me buy a day pass
    B) be easy to sneak into

Also, in the past i've saved my room keys so I can just flash it to get in, however I know its been a few years and the keys have changed. If any recent guests are willing to part with a key, do DM me.

Also any recommendations on good pools, i've been to many in years past but any that stick out as really nice/worth visiting. Note, i'm staying downtown but I'll drive anywhere.

So if you paid to stay at a hotel with a nice pool and went down to use it and couldn't get in or find a chair because it was full of people who "snuck in", would you be happy?

+1. Pay more for a hotel with an amenity/benefit you want.

While I'm not looking to sneak in, I am interested in the first part of his question (best places to buy non-guest access) and don't feel bad about that. haha I have free rooms offered Downtown, so I'm not going to pay $80 for a nice pool on the Strip, but will happily pay $10-30 for such a service if the establishment allows. Does anyone have any knowledge about that? Thanks!

Haha, this is actually a "thing", with quite a bit of reading devoted to it...

    http://www.yelp.com/topic/las-vegas-sneaking-in-to-las-vegas-pools

If it were me, I would chat up a person in line, and offer to buy em a beer or a drink if they claimed me and got me in with their card. Cheaper than admission, and at least you aren't hopping fences or sneaking in back doors.

As for those judging him for wanting to sneak in: Everyone knows there's nothing wrong with sneaking into pools, as long as you don't pee in them. That's reserved for hotel guests and paying customers only. :nono:

Monte Carlo was $10 for non guests last year.

MGM's main pool next to Wet Republic when first step out of the casino was $20 last year when we got a cabana as a non guest July of last year.

Isn't Rio's Voodoo beach pool free non guests? Never been there personally.

This x 1000. Not aimed at the OP, just at freeloaders in general.

Actually, I would like to know where it's easy for non guests to sneak in and use a good hotel pool..........so I can avoid staying there.

Wow.. lots of moral people in here for the city of sin...

    anywhoo..
I've been a paying guest at pretty much every LV area casino resort. I'm not trying to "freeload" but experience changes at a pool I may of stayed at in the past or a new place I have not stayed in yet. In the past, "off peak" times at pools they never checked room keys. I didnt hide in carts or go in service entrances.. I simply walked in. And Im always buying food and beverage. If you can't find a chair, perhaps you can complain to the management. See if i lose sleep over it.

And thank you to Donny / kps / Wolfman for the only useful responses thus far. I dont mind paying if thats an option. Some pools that is NOT an option so I'll walk in and feel fine doing it. :Þ

It's not about morality even. If someone pays top dollar for a hotel for the pool, the shouldn't have to deal with the possibility of not having a chair because of someone walking in off the street. At the better pools, there isn't space for the hotel guests. And frankly there is no amount of food or drinks you can buy that makes up what a hotel guest is paying to stay at that hotel. You can justify what you want to do all you want but I'm not helping you!

Did nobody read the part in RED?!

Wow. This person is willing to pay - anyone have paid options?

The poster looking to hook up in Vegas while his wife is at home got less grief! :poke:

If I were to complain about pool it woudl be the people that go down, put a towel on their chair...and for the 4 hours I'm at the pool I can't sit anywhere (though I like sitting on the island at the Flamingo pool) and I haven't seen anyone in that chair!

Donny, I agree with you. But, the OP didn't say what pools will let me buy a day pass period. He went on to ask about sneaking in. Is he really interested in buying a day pass or sneaking in? I'm guessing sneaking in. I guess I've become jaded.

And to be fair the guy looking to cheat on his wife says she's got carte blanche to do the same while he's gone. So, it's not like she's going to be entertaining the quilting bee at a garden party while he's gone. I hope not anyway. Is it indiscreet and distasteful? Yes. Does it affect any of us? No. But, if you can't get a lounger at your own hotel that you paid to stay at because non-guests are sneaking in and hogging the loungers...that affects us.

It's not frugality and it's not harmless fun.

THIS EXACTLY. If i can pay I'll do it. Otherwise, i'll walk in if its easy. Many pools do not have this option or make it easy to do.

Wait near the entrance for a single guy. I'm assuming you're a girl. Not that it matters any more. When a mark approaches, do the girl thing and ask him to escort you inside. If it's an old phart like me, a kiss on the cheek and a quick hug will give him a week's worth of Fantasy to work on. If it's a possible hookup, have him buy you a drink and then well, you know what to do.

    You can thank me later.

P.S. Make sure you are wearing a semi-revealing outfit.
