I'm curious to see when people are planning to head back to Vegas.

Assuming the casinos open on June 4th, when will you be back?

My husband and I go in September every year, so we have our usual trip planned.

A mask covers up the best part of my body, so I'd rather wait until I don't have to wear one.

HGS if it goes ahead in November, and Xmas if that doesn't go ahead as planned.

I have June 5-7 booked, so I guess technically that’s day 2 even though I selected day 1 in the poll. :D

I'm going to wait until Vegas gets back to some normalcy, since I wouldn't be able to enjoy my trip with so many restrictions in place, not only at the casinos and restaurants, but with the airlines too. Another concern is if I were to get sick with the virus in Vegas, it would be a nightmare trying to get back home. Vegas will always be there in some form, so I'm willing to wait awhile longer.

I already cancelled my October trip. I have a nice two-weeker booked at Cosmo for Xmas....we'll see. However, I'm starting to mentally prepare myself that I might cancel that trip as well. If I do end up cancelling my Xmas trip I'll do a three-weeker in the summer of 2021. I'm just rolling my Vegas funds over from one trip to the next and adding to the budget as time marches on. Sooner or later Vegas will be on my dance card again but I'm not going to rush it just for the sake of going.

I was in Vegas a few days before it shut down. While a part of me wanted to be the first person in line at Caesars or Wynn, I just don't want a diminished Vegas experience especially as I tend to splurge on accomodations. Plus, there is no guarantee June 4 is the opening day. Would hate for my wife to have to keep shifting her vacation days around. I'll see what people say about the vibe and will book a trip for sometime between August and early October.

Doing Harrah's Ak-Chin this weekend instead.

My early April trip disappeared-poof!—so I have a year to use my non-refundable airfare (unless the airline extends that deadline). I will wait as long as possible to see how things are doing in Vegas, esp restaurants and shows. So that puts me at early next year, I’m thinking.

Work schedule allowed, I'd like a few weeks past opening minimum, just to sort out the kinks.

I'm slots, so less people is fine by me, BUT minimal food options or no cocktails on floor would absolutely make me wait.

I was chomping at the bit to get back even before the shutdown. I’ll go once I feel like I can enjoy whatever the “new” version of Vegas will be. I’m not sure 3 people to a blackjack or roulette table with no high fives, fist bumps, etc is my cup of tea.

Ditto. Flights booked, but still need to book hotels. Probably 2 nights downtown + 2 nights strip or South Point.

However, my Vegas buddy will be sitting out for a while, as he's higher risk - older and prediabetic.

I selected when it returns to “ normal” - but “wait & see” would a better way to describe my approach. I like gambling, fine dining & the pool. I don’t want to wear a mask doing any of that but I don’t want to risk my health either. I don’t have FOMO. If I miss out this time, Vegas will be available to me soon enough. I will live vicariously through others’ TRs. Have fun early birds!!!

+1. Restaurants, lounges and bars being up and running will go a long, long way in getting me back before the end of the year. :feedme:+=:woohoo:

i voted for 'as soon as I can get there'. which equates to august for me in terms of my work and the wife's.

I really do not understand this rush to get back to Vegas. Vegas is not going anywhere. I have been to Vegas enough times, so I think I can wait until things to settle down and this virus thing in under control. No rush for me.

As I (think I) said, this is the only time in decades when I have not had any specific plans, business or pleasure, for a Las Vegas trip. I'll wait until the "reopen novelty" wears off a bit and things settle down a bit more, and it isn't so {expletive}ing hot!
