Myself, I am not too interested in Live Trip Reports, many which never seem to be completed and are
very disorienting to read. Also do not care much for Pre-Trip Reports. I would rather read a well
thought out Trip Report about what you actually did do in Vegas.

But that's just me. Anything Vegas is all good! Let's see what you guys like!

Semi-live. Give me an update every morning with pictures and details. If anything happens during the day that warrants an update add it.
You just hit a $4000 hand pay that better make it before the daily update. You get a picture of your brother face planting as you are walking the strip back to home base. Ditto.
Food porn can wait until the daily update.

I like the ones that are complete with lots of pictures. :headbang: I don't mind a live one IF they keep it updates and actually see it to the end. For this reason, I usually don't read the live report until after the last day that the trip is taking place, so in essence then, I guess for me it's not live! :haha:

All of the options listed and more. If it's titled 'trip report', I will read it.

I like them all, but the best are when they have been thought out and organized after the trip is over.

The old BeeJay reports were my favorite type, and of course nobody does it better than Royal Flusher - Pre trip, trip, post trip!

    TRs I Read:

I love to read the live ones completed by those who are committed to doing and updating them.
Hats off to the folks who are able to make those TRs work while still having time to have fun!

I find pre-trip notes interesting, even if they're just written for the sake of the author journaling their trip planning/excitement/reminders for themselves.

    TRs I Post:

I travel unplugged so TRs are posted upon my return.

I usually don't share too much pre-trip information about myself as I don't want to put the population of VMB asleep with boredom :snore: before they get to reading about the actual trip!

My TR from last summer was the exception. What was supposed to be Day 1 of my trip became Day 0. I was home for one more day to share details about our late-night flight cancellation, the Hotels.com snafu, and the exciting hours we spent at IHOP and the Mall of America light-rail station :rolleyes2: waiting for it to open. I shared that info as build-up to what would be the best Vegas trip we'd ever had! Quite a contrast between the beginning of that TR and the end! :D

There is a good thread about why the "Live" report is a major fail.

    I like pre-trip and live w/pictures. I love hearing people's Vegas prep.

I prefer an after-action report, as this gives the source time to edit their fact-v-opinion verbiage. The "live" reports don't appear to be so much live as they are end-of-day(s). A thorough recap is all I need.
