Played some $1 DDB and got crushed. Got AAA twice and missed the draw on both, another 8-10 trips that also missed. Had no quads or better at all. 3-card royal turned into 4 but missed even a pair. Lost $600 in the blink of an eye.

Playing the $400 NLH Aria tourney now. Probably a $50k-$60k prize pool.

Damn, cold hand in the HORSE.

Hope the NLHE goes better today. Good luck!

Hand from earlier: BB ante 200/100/200 UTG opens to 600 and gets called by 3 people and I flat my big with 9h9d. Flop is K76hh. I check and UTG cbets 1800. Everyone folds and I call. Turn Th. He bets 2000 and I tank-check-raise to 5900 and he tank folds

Also here’s a text from level 1 that I sent my poker pro buddy that’s here with me:

So I was playing super aggressive and I had just pot sized bet the river when it went runner runner TT after I 3b pre with JThh on the BTN. I cbet a K-high flop with two clubs and then checked back the Ts on the turn. I had to show when my pot sized Tc bet was called so they probably think I’m a maniac. Next hand I raise KThh from the HJ and the SB defends. Flop is T84hh. He donk bets and I raise. He 3bs and I end up shoving and he calls with QT :headbang:

Went from 50k down to like 26k after I had to fold AK on a KKQ98 board on a river shove. Went down another 5k the next hand on a bluff. Chipped back up since with some really aggressive play and I’m at 55k at 300/500

73k @ 400/800. 69 left. Pays 15. Long way to go but got a really nice stack. I was down to about 41k a bit ago. Couldn’t get any traction for a while.

Took a big hit on a big bluff that should have gotten through and had under 20 bigs a few levels ago. Chipped up slow and won a flip with KJ vs 55. Now I’m at 30 bigs which is solid. Level 12, 38 left. Pays 15.

Just took a good sized hit, JJ < AKo. 17 bigs with 34 left. Should be a lot dropping out this level.

Chipped up a bit with some well-timed shoves. Had 22 bigs and MP1 min-raises. CO calls, I flat the BTN with 76cc. BB calls. Flop J85cc. MP bets 30% pot, CO calls, I shove. MP folds and CO calls with JTs and I brick it out. Two tourneys in a row with a nasty last hand.

Craziest thing ever at 2/5. Playing with $1400 effective. UTG+2 raises to $20 and two callers and I call the BB with 33. Flop A53 with two spades. Check to original raiser and he goes $35. Folds to me and I check-raise to $120. He calls and we get the 3 on the turn. I tank-check and he checks behind. River A. I bet $550. He asks me if I have A5 and folds an A face-up! My poker buddy doesn’t believe me.

This Ph 2/5 game is pretty wild at times. In for $800 and I’ve run it up to about $2k.

That ended up being a super tough table once a few bad players busted. I ran pretty bad for about 2 hours and gave up my profits. Was stuck about $175 and came back for a $150 win. Not what I hoped for but a win is a win.

I forgot a food pic last night. I went to Jean Georges at Aria for a filet, sautéed garlic spinach and the best bread I’ve ever had in my life:
