I'm running low on things to listen to, plus my commute time is overwhelming this week. Please share your podcast suggestions - Las Vegas and otherwise

This is what I listen to:

    Vegas:
You Can Bet on that - finished, waiting on new ones, this is my absolute favorite gambling podcast, I listen to it the day it comes out.
Professor Slots - bedtime listening, very soothing voice (not for day listen though)
Cousin Vito - he's OK, I listen from time to time, sometimes I fast forward, nice guy though.
5 Hundy - I cannot get that on my phone, only at home, I play it in the background when I work from home.

    Other:
Malcom Gladwell - Revisionist History finished, waiting for new ones
Broken Record - More Malcolm Gladwell
    MoBituaries - Mo Rocca
10% Happier - but sometimes I space out during this meditation pod..haha
Missing and Murdered - CBC Canada Broadcast - finished, waiting for Season 3
Ben, Ben and Blue - Math teachers - listen to be better at work
60 minutes Podcast - We don't get CBS where we live in regular TV, We use streaming services and don't have cable.

Please help! My midweek car commute is riddled with traffic.

'Faces & Aces: Las Vegas' is a good Vegas themed podcast, that is more about interviews with people connected to the city than a discussion of the latest news that most other Vegas podcast seem to be.

Most of the other 'casts I listen to are about motorcars or Southampton Football Club which probably might not interest you.

Two Morons Talking About Casinos And Stuff - it’s two guys that work at a strip casino as floor/pit bosses kind of shooting the breeze about stuff that goes on in casinos. Sometimes it’s silly stories about ridiculous customers, weird co workers, stupid corporate bosses. Pretty interesting to hear stuff from the “other side”.

I like some of the True Crime podcasts when I'm on a road trip and need to send my brain somewhere else for a few hundred miles. I have a couple favorites, but if that's not your cup of tea, probably none of them would work for you.

One that really took my brain and squeezed it hard was S-Town. It appeared to be about a cover up of a murder in small-town Alabama. It was not at all that and I ended up on a fascinating journey of how every person is an onion with layers upon layers and how you can never really judge a book by it's cover. I had to pull over on the side of the road a couple times because something that happened shook me so hard. I listened to it a second time last summer with Dan when we drove to Alberta. He didn't have quite the same experience that I did listening to it, but still comes up to me and wants to talk about something he was thinking about John B or Tyler.

The Golden State Killer podcasts about Michelle McNamara's work investigating his crimes (before she passed away unexpectedly) have been compelling. He's an elderly man now and acting as if he's debilitated in every court appearance :rolleyes2:.
Still glad he was caught and will have to answer for all his crimes.

Download the SiriusXM app. Try it free for a month. Download Howard Stern interviews with celebrities. Download audio not the video due to size and car listening. Each interview is an hour long and he really gets some celebs to open up which makes it interesting even if you weren’t a fan of that celeb to begin with.

I’m still on a trial subscription almost a year in for about $5/month. I recommend the 1 month free trial to anyone going on an overseas plane ride. No credit card required for the 1 month trial so no fear of it automatically charging you.

I listen to a couple of of true crime ones as well. S Town was fantastic; even better than Serial IMO.

My personal favorite is True Crime Garage. I might be biased because they’re Columbus/OSU guys but they cover cases from all over, and they cover a variety of stuff- missing persons, unsolved cases, murder, etc.

I was addicted to the Missing Maura Murray podcast early on as well. The Oxygen miniseries in fall 2017 was so frigging good that I feel all of their new stuff is a retread, but I still listen any time they put out an episode.

Spitballers is great!!! It's a comedy podcast. It's the same guys who do the Fantasy Footballers (also a great podcast btw). It's three guys talking about the most random stuff. I like to think of them as a funnier version of my own friends. They do all kind of ridiculous hypothetical situations and they usually do a mock draft each show where they pick their favorites from some predetermined category (they did best Xmas movies on their Xmas podcast for example). They're hilarious....highly recommend!!

Just finished listening to S-Town. Wow, was that ever well done.

If you can get CBC radio in the US, check out Under the Infuence. It’s about advertising. Also White Coat/Black Art - the story from the other side of the gurney. Done by an ER doctor. These are less than 1/2 hr each.

Hahaha, I wonder if I'm going to pick up a little Canadian accent at some point, I'm close enough to Canada and I have Canadian friends, and I'll be listening to these pods too. These sound wonderful

I saw Golden State Killer on a Dateline-like show, and frankly the 70s/80s were just scary
