I'm thinking about staying at a Station hotel/casino soon and would love people to rank their favorites.

I've stayed at Red Rock and Green Valley Ranch, so I'm aware that those are probably 1st and 2nd in terms of room quality and amenities, but what about the rest...?

I'm interested in the quality of the room, overall property service and cleanliness, value, the availability of a movie theater, and the poker room. Slots and video aren't my thing, but feel free to add them to your overall analysis.

Thanks in advance!

Ranked by quality, not necessarily in order of where I enjoy. I go to Sante Fe most because of location.
#1 Red Rock #2 Green Valley #3 Sunset Station #4 Sante Fe #5 Texas Station #6 Palace Station #7 Boulder Station
#8 Fiesta (Boulder Highway) #9 Wild Wild West #10 Any Wildfires Last and to be avoided Fiesta on Rancho

Now with purchase of Palms , I would put it probably around #4 and slide the rest down one notch

Strange, I can't seem to get an offer at Palms to save my life. I played 5k coin in one night at GVR and get tons of free night offers there but 3 days of 8k coin in at Palms gets me nothing.

That makes me want to cry. Maybe Palms just isn't comping rooms.

Went to Santa Fe in Oct. for 2 for 1 buffet. Real nice buffet better than most strip buffets. Stayed about 3 or 4 hours. Played about $400 to $500 mostly slots, VP an hour at the $5 crap table. Left up about $150. Now getting free weekdays sun - thur 3 night max,may use multiple times after 2 night min. thru to June.

We just today received offers for Palms. April, May and June comped nights Sunday thru Thursday, pay Friday and Saturday. No FP or food for me. Spouse got $29 Sunday thru Thursday, pay Friday and Saturday. No FP or food. We last played there in November.
We have played at Palms even before it was a Station casino. The only other Station casino we have played at was once at Red Rocks many years ago.

Thanks for the reply. November huh? Maybe I just need to wait another few months and the offers will finally start flowing.

I got some Palms offers and am staying there in May. Stayed at Palms Place and Palms last year. I don't give them a ton of action (I spread my play around all over town).

Just spent the last 3 nights at Palms comped, no resort fee. Stations has made some changes for the better. newer VP machines are around and the food at the buffet has improved, and the drink service which has always been pretty good is even better. The only issue we had was with the front desk and bell desk. We couldn't get anyone to unlock our safe for the 3 nights and the bell desk guys were very prickish.

I will be following up on this when we get home in a few days.

I am really kind of enthused about Station Casinos purchase of Palms because of their good reputation. Should be interesting to see what develops at Palms!

I think the Palms is a very nice property. Not too big. Decent gambling, nice rooms, great pool. The Pearl is a great concert venue. The Maloofs initially did a good job marketing the place and it didn't hurt that a lot of celebs showed up. But once they hit financial trouble and lost control (down to just 2%) in 2010 the place lost it's buzz and there wasn't a whole lot of marketing going on. But Station will be upping the marketing. So far the only real change is the current renovation of the cafe. I don't know that they'll really change much in terms of the property itself. As for Palms Place, I really like staying there. Great rooms, great prices.

love Sunset, very relaxed place and decent eating options, stayed at red rock last two trips, but back to Sunset this trip. Rooms have been refurbished, bathrooms not the best best but as i have limited vegas time i'm not worried about spending much time in the bathroom.

They didn't waste any time taking out the progressive VP at the bar and downgrading the paytables :(. That took place on my last trip in October. Will see if anything else has changed tomorrow.

Would put Red Rock #1 has everything you need and much more. Great rooms of you stay near the elevator. It can be a very long walk.
