This won't work for everyone, but it sure works for me. On the poker pro machines about four times a day they have very cheap tournaments. Even with two rebuys, these offered the most frugal poker I've seen. I played two and a half hours after buying in for the max of $15. And while there was certainly a mix of poker abilities, the game was not dominated as I might expect by maniacs. Across the casino was a three piece jazz band playing. When they took a break, the piped in music was also fit for the consumption of older ears. And drinks were comped. My son loves poker, but did not come to Vegas with a huge bankroll, and he generally is not very good. He played almost as long as I did. I was pushed out when I made a stab at the final table, trying to double up and secure a place in the money. Another day we played for $9 max. Amazing really. I don't expect it will last. Other poker played on my 25 day trip to Vegas is here http://vegasbirthdaybash.blogspot.com/2014/11/tr-snippet-gambling-itself.html I best enjoyed the 3-6 at Mandalay Bay and playing Pineapple in an early morning session with just a dollar rake at Monte Carlo when the 2-6 broke down to just three players as well as seeing number 2 chip guy guilted into chopping at Sam's Town when I was within a hand or two of extinction. http://vegasbirthdaybash.blogspot.com/2014/11/tr-snippet-gambling-itself.html Trip Report Snippets for my 25 day trip here: http://vegasbirthdaybash.blogspot.com/
