It was good while it lasted!

That facebook group probably accelerated its demise. Apparently the game developers themselves eventually joined that group so all the strategies that were shared were nerfed. It didn't help that thousands of players essentially maxed out their gems and more from the EM bug.

So, I don't get this demise thing? I'm still playing, have two nights booked in August and have enough gems for another two night stay later in the year. Like I have said ad nauseam, I don't see how getting two nights at the best hotel in Vegas for basically half price, or less, is a bad thing. Sure, sure, I understand that many of you have comps at other casinos because of your gambling, but at what cost. I bet—no pun intended—that $200 is on the cheap side—considering gaming—for paying for rooms by those of you who are comped somewhere else. I know you can no longer get something for totally free—although I believe you could reach level one and two free buffets without spending or spending very little—but, come on, this is Vegas we're talking about and nothing is ever free or else they wouldn't have all those lights and tall buildings.

    But it's not free, Michael.

Shit, some of the guys here have absolutely annihilated what I've gotten out of it, and I'm happy even though I spent much more than them.

Some people are glass half full, some see it as half empty, and others just want something else in their glass even when it's full :p

$200 + Tons of hours for 2 nights at the Wynn? We all are free to create our own value system but for me that's not worth it. Not to mention that I don't really go to Vegas for only 2 nights. So I'm going to have to end up either paying for a cheaper hotel to add additional time (and I don't really enjoy having to change hotels after just a 2 night stay) or pay up for additional nights at the Wynn.

Either way, the game has been nerfed from its original form.

I'm grinding since lockdown ! Totally understand people's frustrations with the game, but for me I'm in the position of having enough gems to cover another 'expensive" weekend part of my next Vegas trip, so perrsonally for myself, it still represents value for a future trip and hopefully a couple of buffets. Afterwards ? Unless there are changes I will no doubt drop it.

And that's a best case scenario. I've seen some people online who paid $100 to bump up to VIP level 2 back when you could book 4 nights as a level 2. Now they've had their nights canceled because of the virus and would have to spend several hundred dollars again just to be able to book another 4 night stay. Who knows what will happen with the virus over the next few months so there is no guarantee that their next trip will work out but they'll be out of the money whether they go or not.

If I stay at Aria and use my comp nights I'll still have to pay the resort fee but I can cancel my reservation the day of the trip if things don't work out and won't have to pay a thing.

With that said - I am still VIP level 3 for another 3 months and will try to use 2 nights on my next trip but if it doesn't work out I'll simply add two additional nights at the Cosmo or Aria instead of spending money on the game to get me to VIP level 3 should I drop to a lower level by then.

I saw someone post in the FB group that had their trip cancelled b/c of the VIrus and they managed to get the 4 nights honoured at a later date.

Might have been 2/3/4 nights, but can't remember. I wish I had, as that would have been valuable info if things aren't up and running in July and I wanted to change mine to Dec.

I haven't been playing as much. Right now I'm trying to get up to 3,600 gems so I can grab a couple of buffets on my upcoming trips. I can see myself dumping this game after my trip in July unless they release some new rewards or lighten up the VIP restrictions a bit.

I could see the developers sitting on this info. until there's an official opening date. From there they could reach out to everyone who had a previous reservation and honor whatever they had before.

What I don’t understand is if 25 million per gem is the max then what is the significance the levels continuing to go up.

I can't see them reaching out too players for any reason at all considering their recent track record. Their policy seems to change without notice and to ignore any feedback fall out.

What is more likely, they will refuse to acknowledge players who were screwed out of three and four night stays due to cancelation and have the option for only two or to pay more to book longer. Any goodwill gestures will probably be on a case by case basis when the player complains loudly and long enough.

I'm only playing now to reach VIP level one, having never put a penny into the game myself. I will use the buffets on a summer trip staying elsewhere.

The only way I will pay $200 for 2 nights level is for multiple trips in a 3 month span next winter. Maybe 3 or 4 times.

Multiple users have already reached out and confirmed that Wynn Slots is telling its users that they will be allowed you to rebook at whatever VIP level you were at that time.

I've been told the same but they are so far refusing to actually book the nights for anyone. They keep saying "we are waiting to see how the situation unfolds." I have no idea why that is relevant for allowing someone to re-book their nights. Just allow them to re-book and if it needs to be cancelled again, so be it.

I guess so they've only got to do it once.

Not going to create any more work for themselves than absolutely necessary.

They rather just wait until Vegas is back up and running. It makes complete sense to wait then to have to go through this process again if May 1st isn't the date that Vegas reopens.

They are going to be bombarded with emails once they open the gates.

I'm sure it won't be any worse than right after when people stopped being able to get completely free rooms :evillaugh:
