no love for this non gaming property? I never see any comments or threads.

Is there something wrong with this property? It seems to get favourable reviews on TA.

Thanks for any comments, suggestions, tips.

    Thanks

Looking for a 3 day more relaxing get away with small amount of gambling.

We are staying at Platinum right now, and have done several times. We like it. The rooms are large and have a kitchen with fridge freezer, cooker with hob, microwave, dishwasher. This unit has a washer and dryer too. Not all of them have that. There is also a balcony to sit on and watch the world go by. Sofa bed in the living room, easy chair, coffee table, breakfast counter with 4 chairs. Desk for the laptop. Wifi is included and is for as many devices as you want to use.

The only downside for us is that it's valet parking only. You can't park your own car in the garage. If you're popping in and out a few times, tips can add up.

This place looks amazing. And they usually have decent rates weekday. Their smallest suite is 950 sq ft. and it comes complete with a full kitchen.

If you call the hotel directly, most of the time they can give you a better rate than what is on the internet. They do accept, AARP, AAA discounts as well. I think they accept military discounts as well.

Another plus, they allow dogs. Not to mention FREE valet and self parking.

They also have a grocery store on the premise, I think.

The only reason I have never stayed here is, I get comped rooms from CET and I just can't justify paying for a room, when I have a free one, minus the resort fee and parking fee's in some cases. LOL Someday, I am going to have to throw caution to the wind and make my tight wad self book a stay here.

Hope this helps. And it is an easy walk to the strip.

Aw first hand look :) thanks. After many times on the strip and in casino hotels I'm looking for a non casino hotel. One with a jetted tub, a bit quieter etc. I won't have a car but there to relax. And travelzoo has a good deal going. Includes the resort fees. I hate! Resort fees.

So this might work. Looking to come down Tuesday to Friday.

Oh I think the downside is the area lol. I think this is the area I was followed at night across a parking lot. It was in a plaza where I was going for food. Maybe 8-9pm

A bit sketchy at night eh?

We haven't found it sketchy. Walked home from the strip at 1:30 am today and didn't feel worried at all.

They do not have self parking. It's valet only. I haven't seen a grocery store in here. There is a small section where they have sundries, did you mean that K-9?

The jetted tub is huge. Plenty of room for two.

I was trying to find it. I think it was Pieology, a design your own pizza place, There was a chipotle nearby and panera breads. Flamingo and Paradise Rd :p I remember this guy following me across the parking lot before I got into my car. It was probably a homeless person, probably harmless. As well i had a second person try chatting with me in the same parking lot lol. Again probably harmless but it was quite dark.

There is an Albertsons and a drug store not too far away. Looks like google says around a 15-20 min walk.

Yes, Paradise and Flamingo is the next intersection down from the Platinum. That's where the restaurants are. We often walk down there to Bahama Breeze or Mcormick and Scmicks for happy hour.

    Platinum is at Koval/Flamingo.

You will probably be fine with an early check in unless you need a high floor.

We have been here for 5 weeks. One week to go.

Maybe we could meet up for happy hour one day when we are both in residence. It's half price from 5:30 to 7 every day.

Sure that sounds like a possibility. I really have no agenda or plan. Just going to relax as much as possible :) you can either send me a private with your room number or telephone number if you like. Or other option as well.

    Cheers

    Pebbles,
Wish I would have known you were in Vegas? I would come up and have a drink with you. Remember we met at Harrah's a few years ago, when I did my solo trip.

I now live in Laughlin,NV but alas cannot make it to Vegas before you leave. Next time for sure.

We are going to Vegas in June or July, haven't decided yet. Have a good rest of your trip.

That would have been good. I'll let you know in advance about my next trip.

We will most likely be back in the fall.

There is a 7/11 around the corner on Koval. Albertsons is the closest full store that I know of.

Will pm my number when I figure it out.
