If you care about the pool party scene, probably not for you.

I don't, so PH is always my first choice as a mid range go to. Best casino vibe on the strip, IMO. Fun and energetic. And has 3:2 blackjack at decent minimums to boot.

Add in a great location center strip and cheap food options in the mall for when I just want something quick?

Yea. Love PH. Hope the sale doesn't change much.

You can always use the pools at Paris and Bally's if staying at PH, and you like a more laid back pool scene.

I have confirmed this with the hotel reservations.

I really like PH... except 1 nit pick is the curtains do not block out THE LIGHT!! I'm really thinking of bringing some carpenters tape with me to tape the curtains against the wall.
If you want to sleep past 6am you may need to wear an eyemask (ANNOYING!)
Perfect location. I really like the dealers who arn't zombied out and bored to death in the pleasure pit area (same with paris pit)
Excellent dining options from high to low priced.
The buffet is pretty bad. I walk over to Paris for a buffet or Flamingo. Both are much better then PH.

Not sure if you have an amex that has rental coverage as primary insurance but I called them about the valet driving the rental. They said absolutely no problem. Valet drivers are covered.

We stayed there earlier in the year, I thought that for the money the room is one of the nicer ones that we have had. I find the Casino a little too lively at night (but that's entirely down to my personal preference, I find I prefer the more sedate pace at Paris). It's a party vibe in there for sure, we got a good crowd of people cheering us on one night as we hit the Walking Dead slot for a good win. The location is probably the best thing about it, being smack bang in the middle as we also love spending time at the Cosmopolitan. We ate at Gordon Ramsay's steak too, it was decent. We are booked to stay again in December.

One more reason not to have a rental car. (apologies to those that visit or travel well off the strip where uber would not be good).

Yea, they may be covered, but who wants to deal with the issues. Or an issue you do not notice until later and not sure WHO did it?

There is a current thread listing hotels. In reality, you can not make a pick based on the wide range or opinions. BUT - some rate PH rather high.

It's funny hearing about the curtain issue because when we have nice views we've slept with the curtain somewhat open...But we will make sure to bring our eyemasks as well. Thanks all!

I enjoy the rooms, the casino is always hopping at night. There are many food options at the hotel and the attached Miracle Mile.

Arrived here yesterday. Check in fine. About 20 mins in line. Room very nice. Bathroom huge! View obstructed by mesh on window. Only here 3 nights so not going to bother trying to switch. Usually stay at Flamingo. This room much better. Will try out pool this morning. May do Paris pool instead!

Not had a bad meal there yet, bar the pizza. Maybe I wasn't drunk enough :p

I love pH! Center strip location with plenty of options. Busy at night but not too insane. Rooms bright and airy. I did not have the window issue.

Just in airport awaiting connection home. Had a great time at PH. Went to Paris pool yesterday. Lovely laid back vibe. Would return to PH but ask for a window without mesh on it. Took breakfast Sammie’s up to room today from Earl of Sandwich. Yummy. Coffee was 2.50. Half the cost of Starbucks and did the trick! I really liked the proximity of reasonable priced restaurants close by. We went to Tenors of Rock last night. I loved it as did my 21 year old daughter! Great fun..

I prefer PH mainly for the nearby dining options. You have many fast food places, Walgreens, several really cheap breakfast options in the mall. Close to the dining in Cosmo and Paris.

USUALLY the room is just fine, but I've gotten some bad ones. One was a handicapped room with a mattress that had been squashed. Water damage was apparent in the bathroom. I should have asked for a different room, but I'm not usually a whiner. Another room was at the end of the hallway behind a pair of doors. I thought, "wow, they must have made a mistake!" Alas, the doors opened to a small foyer with a sort of mother-in-law room to one side. It was one of the smallest rooms they had I think.

The casino is just meh these days. I prefer other places for slots - like Cosmopolitan, Casino Royale, downtown. Hard to win anything at the big chain hotel casinos.

I'm staying at PH a couple of nights and then rolling to Cosmo for a couple of nights on next trip.

I can't say I agree with the plenty of chairs to go around at the pool, at least not right by the pool but other than that I don't get the hate. Like you, I just want some sun with some nice cool water to cool off in. They also usually have a great deal on Groupon for a cabana.

PH is where we almost always stay. Fun, lively casino, all rooms recently renovated and attached to the Miracle Mile with many affordable dining options.
